I do agree with you Norway, just want to think a little bit bigger< we are in europe and will need a squad and with Laudrup liking cups, there will be plenty of game time for all. Even Stoke have 2 international stikers or is it 3 if you include Walters. Not that i would want 2 of them. Who knows may want to play 2 up top occasionally for a change.

Time will tell I guess, I would see moore as a good back up who comes at a cheap price and is british , any other foreign buys will have to be quite special as we reach our qouta, we cant be far away now can we.?

The statistics says he's played 459 mins in the Premier League. That is equal to 5 matches. He's got 3 goals and 2 assist in these 459 minutes. He has played three matches from the start, 12 from the bench. He's only got one 90 min match. In the Capitol One Cup he's got 2 goals in 2,5 matches.

I think he's done pretty well and he deserves to play mo(o)re. He's one to keep.

moore should have played a lot more games this season. I cant see the point using a midfielder up front on his own when we have a perfectly good striker that will score goals when given the chance...It dont make sense and a waste of a great goal scoring midfielder.....

can't argue with those numbers they speak for themselves. However, with Michu up front ML gets to play three behind him from Leon, JDG, Ki, one (from Pablo, Routs, Dyer) plus maybe Agustien. With Moore and Michu, ML is more restricted. perhaps its a question of flexibility, but I think that with the tough games down the stretch and Leon likely to play, I would like to give Moore a chance and the other midfield candidate scrap for two spots.

Playing Michu upfront doesn't suit him. Bugger flexibility. He's far more effective coming from deep.

I also think Michu needs to play in his strongest position which is mid field.

the 3 of pablo, routs and dyer has its place but has recently gone off the boil, i thought we looked far more threatening with luke up top holding it and bringing others in than have our wingers chop and change every 3 mins to create holes.
Sometimes we have so much movement that our players seem to get confused themselves! especially at this point of the season where minds arnt as mentally sharp it probably pays to be a bit more pragmatic.

The stats prove we are as effective with luke starting up top as we are any other formation, the guy deserves a chance and michu needs to play his way back into form. half the reason michu missed some sitters yesterday was probably because he is a bit rusty back in that mid field role, the last chance he missed you would normally bet your house on him!! lets not **** the guy around too much it isnt really needed if we have another player that is helping and doing the centre forwards job well.

Michu and Moore look very comfortable together and their passes always find each other, they both have good football inteligence while on the field, if it wasnt for our dodgy defending costing us all we would be doing this weekend is raving about that partnership and front play, we were sublime in the first half and wernt too shabby in the second ..apart from suicidal defending !

Would he get in to our nearest rivals' squads eg West Brom?

No - with Lukaku, Long, Odemwingie

So given our ambitions, playing in Europe and the quality of our build-up play it is imperative we set our standards higher

Good point cam . but we dont know how Long or odenwinge would do in our set up and system, maybe they would be alot worse than Itay schector ?? therefore its not as easy as saying is he as good as x,y and z or could he get into a squad containing x,y and z .

He`s got goals in him so id like to keep him as he may get even better given game time but also as good back up for our smallish squad given euro footy may take it`s toll soon .

Michu looks world class in the pocket and, in my opinion, should play there every game. His and our problem is that currently he also happens to be our best striker by a long way.

When you look at Danny, Moore, Lita he is so far better that it becomes impossible not to pick him as the main striker, especially when you consider the overload of talent we have in mid-field.

For me Moore has done nothing wrong when he's played, he may seem a little too slow for some or laid back for others but with the skills of our midfield he doesnt need to be all action, just astute and aware. Our midfield is skillfull enough to almost guarantee that he will get a couple of oportunities in each game he plays and currently he's taking some of them.

To his credit he has been effective when he has played and I've always thought he was more talented than Danny, but maybe too laid back for Laudrup on the field and, apparently, in training too. He hasn't played enough consecutive games for me to really make up my mind about him but currently he's all we've got and he's doing OK. I could be completely wrong but I've got a hunch he'll do well for us in europa if he stays.

I'd keep him as a back up to someone with a bit more 'fetch and go' about their play but I wouldn't keep him as our main man.

I like Moore, and in a previous life espoused his skills more than most on here. We should keep him,and play him most games until end of season.

I would keep Moore. A very hard worker for the team when he plays and gives it his all. If only his dedication and commitment could sometimes rub off on our midfielders.
