Hughes for me. Maybe because it was more recent. Maybe because I still have a soft spot for Wilkins because of his playing days with us. Wilkins bought badly. Hughes totally failed to get the players playing. Some might ridicule Wilkins but at least he has some character. Never could take to Hughes, arrogant and dull.

Hughes set us back years from top to bottom. Wilkins was just inexperienced.

I think most of Hughes buys werent bought for the good of the club. Make of that what you will.

Good point about Wilkins inexperience, no such excuse for Hughes.

Playing under 'Arry's management, if our team hadn't fallen asleep at the wheel in quite so many games, we should have now been in a much safer position, especially given our fixtures towards the end of season.

I think the underlying message here is to steer clear of managers with playing career connections to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Agreed, I'm thinking that Wilkins lacked experience .................. Hughes lacked everything but experience.

Hughes was massively worse, so bad his career is probably ended by what he did to us.

Preferred Wilkins as a player too despite all the horizontal stuff. Hughes was just another Fash the Bash/Shearer/Carroll with a Welsh accent at the end of the day. Will never forgive the **** for what he did to us.

Hughes by a country mile. Wilkins didn't have a lot of money to spend, I believe he was forced to sell Ferdinand, and that is what got us relegated, but we didn't get a replacement striker and most of the money from the Ferdinand sale went on installing a new pitch and undersoil heating.

Wilkins was in his first managerial job and sadly out of his depth. Hughes had international and Prem pedigree - and was still completely out of his depth. In the words of Lord Alan, "Sparky youre s@£;"

Hughes had more money and support from his chairman than just about any other QPR manager in history and he assembled arguably one of the worst sides in our history. Wilkins criminally misspent money but was naive and inexperienced, unlike Hughes who is experienced and had everything he could have ever wanted/needed and proceeded to set the club back 2-3 years
