Good to see a fellow city fan moving to Sydney - there's a few of us out here but it's fairly thin on the mground
Sorry, Big John, but not in my opinion. Louis Carey has had his day and we need to refresh the squad with new, hungry, younger playesr who will improve with experience rather than someone who due to the ravages of time, will never again be the player he was a couple or three years ago.
Yep ill be in Sydney on the 16th I probably won be settled down properly until mid October. Do you support any teams out there Bcfcinsydney?
To be honest not really, I've been to a few Sydney FC games but supporting a team in blue doesn't come naturally to me! I have got into my NRL though - you should give it a crack when you get settled.. As in rugby league. As a southerner I'd never paid much attention to league in the uk but here it's a much faster game and I LOVE it!
We will not be able to afford Pope's transfer fee We need some leadership and to be honest a bit of "nastieness" in the side. Shaun Derry plus a big ugly centre half is a must. Baldock will score a hatfull in League 1
16th of which month? I have enjoyed your comments on here whether I agreed with them or not. I suspect that for a while it will be difficult for you not to be reading all the posts and sending yout twopennyworth in your own inimitable fashion. You will be a long way away from Ashton Gate so while you will never forget Bristol City, it will just like the first love of your life, be remembered fondly but the passion will diminish over the years as you find other interests in your new country. I've moved away from Bristol twice, but while living in Shrewsbury and Livingston, I was still able to see every home game and a lot of away ones as well. Now on a good day I'm only seven or eight hours from Ashton Gate which is why I still miss seeing every home game so much. But popping over from Oz is not really practical is it, so whichever sport you follow or take part in, enjoy it wholeheartedly. Good on yer and mind the sharks!
