Ridiculous decisions, awful choices for bookings, maybe Stockdale's for time wasting was the only justifiable one but Faye's was DEFINITELY not a yellow, or Corry Evans'.

I think the problem is with modern day refs is that, you don't get decent referees because of the abuse they get at the roots of English football. Refs of Sunday League's and that sort of standard working their way up get abused and sworn at a regular basis and it puts a lot of them off. A mate of mine pulled out of refereeing because he doesn't want to do a job where he gets abused week in-week out. This means all the good and decent refs have left us with the crappy, blind ones.

What about how long he took to invite Bruce back onto the field after his first injury? Boro were on the attack, and we had 1/3 of our back line standing on the half way line waiting for a signal.

Another idiotic response. Faye's was an obvious booking.

We won a game yet people just wanna squeal about a ref who had no influence on the game whatsoever.

    Only HCAFC fans eh. Pathetic.

    'Another'? What's your problem?

I sit in E2 and it was right in front of me. He slid from a side, won the ball and the player went over. It was on the refs blindside as he could only see the back of Faye and obviously had to give a free kick.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure slide tackles from a side that win the ball are perfectly fine.

There are plenty of threads regarding the win. The ref was noticably poor. People want to discuss it - where is the problem?

In comparison to tuesday when Watford wasted time for 45 minutes and only got a booking in the 88 minute about 25 minutes too late. Todays ref starts warning our players about it from the first throwing after we scored then after about half a dozen stoppages post goal hes telling Koren to get the team to speed things up. All that despite the fact Boro had been doing their fair share of slowing things down from the start of the second half.

Very inconsistent today too seemed like he wanted to even it up once we'd scored.

Seriously Chazz you are in danger of loosing all credibility! The Ref was SH1T, you really are on your own on this one. Yep we won, but that fat little ****er did not help make an entertaining and fair game of it.

****ing hell mate, you're having a go at other City fans for posting their thoughts on an obviously poor ref on a Forum which has the purpose of team's discussing their opinions? <laugh>

    Pathetic.

To be fair I also thought Fayes was a booking as it was a scissors challenge but Evans was harsh to say the least.

If you don't want to read comments about a certain topic of the match, which IMO is a worth-while discussion then don't read the Thread?

    Simple. <ok>

So you don't think that today's ref is worthy of discussion. Fine. Understood.

Why did you click on a thread named "Today's ref"?

    This.

If you don't think the ref was bad, then fine, you've said so, now **** off to a thread that you think does warrant discussion and stop being a **** on this one. <ok>
