Why is it that when Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe are playing Hull City matches are broadcast on AM. We are the biggest club in the region and should always be on FM. The AM frequency is always **** and suffers often with interference and you always have to tweak with the dial, something that doesn't happen with FM. Biggest club best frequency IMO.
Officially it's whoever's the home team goes on AM, Away on FM. If both City and Scunny are away, then City get FM. That was introduced right after KCFM backed out of the market, because Humberside decided then, that every City game would be on FM to try and take out the opposition. Which I felt was particularly shameful by the state "non profit" broadcaster.
you have to remember that we consider "the region" to end just north of bunny, so it doesn't include your fine metropolis, which i believe to be the rolls-royce capital of europe.
This is the way it should be too, if you're in the Radio Humberside region then really you should be at the game anyway. This thread is only gonna go one way...
He and Swanny actually are far far better than the clinical ****ers some stations have. The Cardiff bloke on player now sounds like he's reading the shipping forecast.
Then we get that winging boring b*****d Brian Laws droning on, can't they put him on his own frequency?
I thought he was on his own frequency? The way Blunderside do things is perfectly reasonable under the circumstances. The issue is, that these shouldn't be the circumstances, Grim-sby and S-****-horpe should be on Radio Lincolnshire and we should have Radio East Yorkshire(and a North Bank only Look North).
Sorry but I couldn't disagree more. The BBC is funded equally by every licence paying household in the country and ratings has never been part of the remit. The way Humberside arrange this at present - the away team is on FM - is 100% correct and justifiable.
It's really not. There are 600,000 people in East Yorkshire, who have to tolerate traffic reports for places they never go to and listen to match reports for two teams they don't give a **** about, just because we have to also serve 160,000 people who live in North Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire only have one league team, their commentaries should be on Radio Lincolnshire.
