I dont believe it...Carlos does it again. What a magnificent win. Lady Luck Rides Our Horse...and about damn time too!! What a beautiful Steal! Well played Loachie...
Starting to dream about next season with Mick & TC - just not being in a hideous relegation struggle will be a mammoth relief.
Last time I looked we would've been fourth if the season had started on the first of November. Carry that on into next season and we'll be doing better than just fine. And to think he's done it with the current squad makes it even more a fantastic feat. I guess sometimes players are only as good as the manager who uses them.
Also done it with virtually spending nothing in transfer fees. As always the major concern is the amount of loan players we have, but I have no doubt that McCarthy won't allow us to be in this situation next year. Also have a feeling that our perfomances under McCarthy will convince Evans to invest into the squad.
Since Mick and TC have been here we’ve won 54.8% of the points available – that translates to a season total of 75-6 points which is usually enough for a play-off place. And, as San Diego says, that’s with them inheriting the horrendous shambles from PJ & Keane, down trodden and depressed players and fans and all!
Mick is without doubt a quality manager and a class act. Thanks must go to Evans for showing the ambition to appoint someone of his caliber even though it was a little late in the season when a lot of damage had already been done.
Totally agree Warky. We are in pastures new...and green...roll on next season. We are all in dreamland tonight. What a difference a new manager makes!
His record speaks for itself JWM. Got the feeling he'll add us to his list of clubs who he has taken to the top six (and beyond?)
Let's be honest though, we've done this by having a ridiculously tight defence. We are absolutely awful going forward. When we're safe there is a lot of work to do to make us competitive with the top sides.
With our current form teams must be getting slightly worried about facing us now. Managers will be looking at ways of how to score against us, not finding ways of how many can they score. Teams will have to come at us with a different game plan now. It is good to be a tractor boy at the moment.
That's right, but the obvious point to make is how ludicrously porous our defence was until PJ’s departure. Not to mention the spineless cowardice our team displayed, folding like five-year-old girls to one multi goal defeat after another. Shoring up the defence and organising the team into a disciplined unit was clearly the first priority and that’s what Mick and TC have done. I’m happy for the attacking flair to wait for a bit – I think Wolves fans will testify to Mick’s ability to deliver that.

This unexpected win should be our suvival points. Mick has made us tough ...so we should be a force to be reckoned with next season. Top bloke!
I don't think I've ever seen a Town team so solid at the back. McCarthy & TC deserve all the plaudits! It's good to get a little bit more distance from the bottom too. Brizzle are gone and Blackburn look ****ed! It's nice not to be so worried. Onwards and upwards and all that
A *****lian Clusterfuck of a football club. And a lesson to all football fans. I can remember when ME came on board. We thought we'd be established in the Prem in a couple of seasons, whoops. FFP isn't going to level the playing field. Turnover will dictate who's the also rans in the Premiership. The rest of us will be bottom trawlers. What's £80m to ME, surely he can write it off, it's chump change Shame JR would never come back
