Its Grand National day the big one is here. I am on SEABASS 12/1 & CAPPA BLEU 14/1 for a while now. What`s your national fancy?
Well done Bucks .....was wondering who was gonna start it- cant wait for the race which for me is the most excitin race of the year ! Expect drama....expect it incident packed ...expect false starts and expect fallers....its got it all! will post my tips soon...
I'm off to lingfield tomorrow and never really have much luck on the AW so any help would be great (Roto/Stick I'm looking at you ) My National picks though TEAFORTHREE CHICAGO GREY BECAUSEICOULDNTSEE E/W SOLL E/W
Im on Seabass at 12s as well, but nothing else as yet,,,,,,,, may have a go on Harry the Viking both EW
My 3 against the field are: Rare Bob, Joncol and T43. Also interested in Sire de Grugy in the novices chase and Problema Tic in the handicap chase. Both should relish the ground conditions.
To be honest I'd settle for all horses and riders back safe and sound. I am a big fan of the beeb but they're hammering the horse fatalities these last few days. The anti agenda is being seriously ramped up.
25 of the 29 jockeys who rode in the John Smith's Topham Chase at Aintree received one-day bans for not obeying the starter. There were two false starts before the race, won by Triolo D'Alene, and the only riders to escape censure were Liam Treadwell, who by the time of the enquiry was in hospital having X-rays, Tom O'Brien, Ruby Walsh and Brian Harding. Following a false start on Thursday in the John Smith's Fox Hunters, the BHA reacted angrily to Friday's incident. Jamie Stier, Director of Raceday Operations and Regulation, said: "We are very disappointed with the starts to each of the two races run over the Grand National course over the last two days. "Ahead of Saturday's Grand National all riders will be expected to respect the importance of the start of the race and approach it in a much more appropriate manner." i dont think its down to the jockeys alone the start is a shambles surely no gain of 3 to 7 lengths matter over 4 miles. line them up as best then let them go to me its the starters trying to show how important they are on the "big day" BHA Bollocks
One for me so far for tomorrow in the shape of 2.30 Chepstow The Gossmoor Yank 33/1. It's only a tentative one but write up to come. Stick should remember this one
On His Own and Chicago Grey I think On His Own is a stand out, and as Stick said Chicago Grey is well handicapped. Brought down early last year, he showed his well being winning a grade 2 at Navan in Feb.
Any Currency is my e/w sneak because I would say he will stay the trip guarenteed so 66/1 makes him an e/w option. As for a serious one I'm down to three Imperial Commander Ballabriggs Chicago Grey. Hoping red wine can help solve this problem
First post so Good Evening all Two races of interest for me tomorrow. Both large field h/caps. I use a method/system so no blurbs I'm afraid. Aint 3.25 Blenheim Brook Cannington Brook Aint 4.15 Imperial Commander Ballabrigs Win singles on each. If my ask on BF is not matched I'll be on at BFSP.
If Boston Bob is around, do you know what is expected of Local Hero tomorrow?(I think you said Gollings was your uncle to be). Top weight tempers enthusiasm, but the horse is legendary in my group of friends and we're all meeting tomorrow, so it must be fate that it is running. Cheers in advance.
Anyone else watch the facinating programee on channel 4 very good! My 3 picks Own His Own Imperial Commandar or chicago grey Quel Espirit
My picks for GN tomorrow as follows Imperial commander Balthazar king Cappa Bleu So avoid at all costs lol Good luck one and all and let's hope all horses and jockeys come home safe
