Ready for the weekend, eithera romp for us or another set-back, don't think it will be a squeeky win or draw.

lets see what happens, FYI, if i want the latest on Liverpool I go to ChristainSmith's threads, he trolls in the internet for Liverpool articles and produces more results than the most effective web bot. <laugh>

I think it's a bit early to judge how well the foundations have been laid in all honesty. Sometimes I wish he'd just say nothing rather than waffle on <laugh>

He's spot on about Gerrard though, he's got a few years left in him yet <diva> Happy days

Weren't the foundations laid by Buttercup? I know she built them up at least...

... honestly though, I think we do have more reason for optimism now than a year or so ago or even 6 months ago. Rafas youth are finally making into the top team.

We've got promising forwards; Sturridge, Suarez, Stirling... would be great assets for any team and could be for at least 5 more years.

In midfield Coutinho is brilliant... Allen pre shoulder-gate was amazing... hopefully he can get healed. Henderson is looking better and has promise... all three could be great at least for five years.

Gerrard could have a number of top years left or he could suddenly drop you never know... but enjoy him while we've got him.

Defence is really the only questionable area but we have quality pealing through.

Reina is still young for a keeper.

As long as our top talents don't bugger off we will be getting better year on year now.

I think 5th next year and top 4 year after that are definitely achievable.

  5. Gerrard might have two, three, four, five, etc years left, but I'd keep him on a one (or two maximum) year contract, keep him on his toes. Man Utd and Arsenal (to a degree since they didn't have a one club man) have done it for years.

Brendan has made sure this won`t happen in the future, he has now "re-designed" your academy so he obviously didn`t think much of Rafa`s work.

Our u21's have been a bit shaky recently ... could this be down to the new 4-3-3 formation they have adopted? ...

Top 4 next year and as always winning a cup should be our realistic aim. The current team we have is good enough. Playing freely with confidence, everyone is contributing providing assists and goals and Gerrard, the heart of our team, is playing well.

But he's a twat so meh. Guardiola said the academy under Rafa and Dalglish was second only to Barca's. I'll take his opinion over yours and the Pretender's, thanks all the same.

Foundations for me would be building a solid defence to start with and thats something we simply do not have.
