thats right pgf and that is why i am qestioning laudrups tacticts at the moment, He just cant seem to get the players playing for the full 90 minutes anymore, there was a time that once we scored the first goal then we would go on to win the game with ease and the papers and liniker and co on MOD would praise us for what we were doing. you watch MOD recently and we are hardly mentioned except as one of the ordenary clubs and i fear that if we lose key players like what is on the cards then we will fold like a pack of cards. we should up tempo now and get the players we have left plus any new players to come out next season having finished this season with everyone talking about us.....We know we can play that way as we showed against spurs in the last 20 25 minutes or so....If we finish the season with a whimper then that is how we will carry on next season for sure and no matter how good fans assume laudrup is,, if he cant get us playing like we started the season off in then prepare for a rocky new season ahead.....Its laudrups first season and up until a few months ago he was brilliant but im telling you fans are beginning to question on whether he has reached his limit....i really hope not but he needs to show what he has in his abilities....

I cant fault him much since he got here weve been spoilt rotten and with it maybe unrealistic expectations of a continuous improvement all season long have bedded in ?

I would like to see a bit more passion from him sometimes but that could be the dane in him holding him back from just getting his boots on regardless of if he`s allowed to 15 mins from time when were doing poorly and shouting to one of our lads " get off you twat and watch how its done ffs ! " wishfull thinking ?

Fans questioning Luadrup is just bizzare. Have we already reached a point where we are expecting top 5 finishes, come on let's just be realistic. Our second season in the top flight and we have more than held our own.
You talk about MOTD like that is a true barometer of form but don't forget everyone of the bright sparks on there would have tipped us to go down at the start of the season!
It's hysterical and unrealistic to suggest Laudrup can't take us any further and we're looking at a dodgy season next year. He will have made more signings by then, look at who he's already brought it, although you probably think Ki and De Guzman are rubbish more than likely, do you even rate Michu at all, or has he just been a flash in the pan one season wonder, destined to never repeat the heights of 2012-13. I have to say you;re a very strange "supporter" of Swansea City, very little if anything good to say about the club at all.

They're all fine apart from not being Suarez ;)

Seriously though... Our main rumours have been around Eriksen and Alonso... JDG is a decent player but I'm not sure I'd be as excited about him.

However he could well add to the squad. Would rather him on the bench than Shelvey. Didn't like his behaviour towards Dyer in the final.

Bare in mind as the penalty taker, and not being awarded one all season, i think that may have had a lot to do with it.

Plus nathen is known for being bit of a crap finisher..<laugh>

Erikson I don't see going to Liverpool . I think he said himself that he has some learning to do before moving on,words to that effect at least.

Would he go to a team that probably won't be playing euro football next season ?? Having read Ashley Williams book and seeing how he loves brenden to bits and is a mad Liverpool fan then I can see some legs in that move, he still keeps his house in brum too so there isn't that much to keep him here if liverpool make a decent offer.

Yes he does have a question mark on his ability especially about motivation, fans pay their money to watch the team give 100% for every game and not just until we are safe and go into holiday mode.....Has laudrup the ability that some fans go over the top about???? Well he is not showing it at the moment thats for sure.....

This is another fan who wrote in the EP last night...he says...

THE performances of Swansea City since winning the Capital One Cup have been disgraceful.

The highly paid players of the club appear to have their feet up and are on the beach basking in their glory.

I would like to remind the players, manager and chairman of Swansea City that their supporters pay for a season ticket to the last game of the season. In addition, season ticket holders have had to already financially commit for next season.

What this demonstrates from the supporters is loyalty, desire and commitment to the club and players.

After the recent performances from the players I have not seen the supporters' loyalty replicated by displays on the field.

The players are significantly under-performing and certainly not demonstrating a desire to match the supporters' passion for their club.

This is totally unacceptable and as a paying fan I demand more from the players whose wages I contribute to. I would also expect that both the manager and chairman publicly denounce the standard of performances witnessed since the Wembley victory.

If the players and staff of SCFC believe their job is done for this season then I can assure them that they will very quickly become unwelcome at the Liberty Stadium and would be advised to look elsewhere for the adulation bestowed upon them from the loyal and committed supporters.

    Mr BJ Griffiths

    Llansamlet, Swansea

Quite frankly I regard this as a load of bollox! But for an atrocious decision by a collection of idiots posing as match officials, we would have drawn at WBA which equates to a 3 point turnaround with that particular club.

We did labour against Arsenal but only shipped the second goal late on when we pressed for an equaliser. Until then, despite being off key, we were still well in the game.

As for Spurs, we gave them a two goal start before deciding to join in but, when we did, they were hanging on like grim death to secure the points and were reduced to kicking us all over the park to keep us out - aided again by officials who chose to ignore what was happening in front of them. I'm not yet at the point of accusing officials of having a bias against us but it's not far off......

We are certainly not playing as well as we can do but a letter of that nature is entirely out of order. We need to be showing Michael Laudrup and the club a united front, that we as supporters are there for them to give them a lift when the going gets tough. Bleating like a spoilt brat in the local newspaper is not going to help anyone.

What does this guy expect? That we'll go through the season without having a bad patch? He needs to get out of cloud cuckoo land, get real and remember where we've come from. To recap, we were robbed of a point in one game and narrowly lost two other games to quality, long established sides whose respective benches cost more than our entire squad.

Agreed, we could be playing better and I put it down to our midfield who disappear when there is some hard graft to be done. Rest assured that Michael Laudrup will already have addressed that problem and, as far as I'm concerned, with particular regard to JdG, if Liverpool want him, they're welcome to him. Of course he's a highly talented player but would I want him in the trenches with me? No way!!

Anyway, let's wait and see what players Michael will sign in the summer. You can bet your boots that one or two of them will like a tackle. Meantime, let's get behind the lads and act like proper supporters.

What an idiot this man is. He comes across as a prawn sandwich fan to me. Yes the results lately have been disappointing. Disappointing in the sense we were robbed against WBA and probably would have beaten Arsenal and Spurs if we played at our best.
As for having a dig at Michael Laudrup, the fact that we are in the top 10 and have won our 1st major piece of silverwear under his tenure whilst also losing against Arsenal and Spurs recently, adds further evidence to just how far we have progressed under Michael Laudrup's guidance this season.

Mr Griffiths, if you by any chance come across this post, do us a favour and shut up <doh>

This bloke writing to the post thinks he knows more than Michael Laudrup !!

Really ? That's Michael Laudrup, the Michael Laudrup the same one who has managed is to our first ever major honour in our 100 year history and is one of the greatest players ever to step foot on a football field

I know who I'll put my faith in

Just a couple of attention seekers with no real love or affinity for the club. Nothing ever good enough it's just moan, moan, moan but luckily and in spite of what dai says a very tiny minority.
I'd hate for our fans to gain reputations as unrealistic clowns like certain other clubs. Top half of the Premier League with a major trophy in the cabinet, if that's not good enough maybe some people should go back to supporting whichever Premier League team they supported a few years ago!

you dont think its just him saying this do you???? dont you read the forums or papers or listen to the was greatest left back in the world in leighton james or fans on talk sport or even your own mates, They are all saying the same thing...even the players come out in the papers saying they are concerned and must improve......Im sorry but if laudrup cant go any higher with his coaching skills then he will have to be replaced....none of this love in crap who think he is the best manager ever as he is proving he is not and i dont care about him, If he cant motivate or out fox his opponents then its time to find someone who can or we will slide down the leagues before you know it....i have seen it all before and so have other fans and we have a right to question laudrups abilities andthe way we have been performing then its well justified....the club is the most important thing and not any individual....

Are you for real or what???? its not about the past but the buisiness end of the season is showing his true abilities.....we cant go on playing like this till the end of the season as it will influance future players on whether to come here or not.....laudrup is showing nothing and that is a bad sign....Brendan is a far better motivator of players and a better manager as he is proving to everyone...

European football is not the past is it??
Unfotunately as previously stated you represent a new breed of supporters who want instant results and call for sackings when things don't go right.
3 losses in a row!! haha, if you'd supported Swansea for more than a couple of seasons you'd be be far more accepting of this, go back to supporting man u or whoever it was before, you can moan about the prawn sarnies!!

Business end of the season? We can't won the league, we can't get relegated and we can't qualify for Europe as we have already done so.

Results aren't going our way, but we are hardly being thrashed, are we.

Brendans a better manager? Do enlighten me how far in the cup we went under him. He couldn't even get us to beat qpr ffs.
