    Agreed, I'd rather have Santon/Haidara than Jonas tbh but assumed both out injured.

    Never had too big a problem with Simmo but obviously would swap him out for Colo in my lineup and put Debuchy in for Anita.
    The nice thing is the option to go more offensive by swapping in Raylor on that side to swing crosses in but also track back when required.

    The wide guys would need to work real hard but they could have more freedom to run the flanks and also tuck in to shield the defense.

    At the moment see I'm more concerned about making us harder to beat and more solid at gaining draws and valuable points when we don't play well.

    Oh yeah and if the Gouff was eligible would come in for Marv or indeed Cisse...

    Might prove awful but hey, worth a try though eh?

    Media speculation that Cheick Tiote and Massadio Haidara would feature proved to be wide of the mark, while both Fabricio Coloccini and Hatem Ben Arfa have remained on Tyneside to continue their training.

    Ryan Taylor travelled and joined in training as he continues his comeback from injury. However he's still some way from making a playing return.

    Neither Yoan Gouffran or Mathieu Debuchy can appear in this competition for United following participation in UEFA competition earlier this season with their previous clubs.

    I have no ****ing idea! Our most consistent CM this season, gets deselected for the return of a distinctively average Tiote and now dropped for Perch.

    I'm a fan of Anita, he was watching the Ajax game at the weekend, apparently it is customary in the Netherlands to return to your club after leaving, to thank the fans for their support.
