Us - W L W L W L Watford - W D W L L W Yeah their forms way better. You're a typical clueless, negative City 'fan'.
You obviously watched the same game as I did. Steve Bruce gambled last night and lost. The combination of Boyd, Bruce and Koren is not going to win much ball in midfield. I'd very surprised if he picks that same threesome again.
Well done to Watford, they did their homework on us last night and were worthy of the win. Some people need to stop getting too downbeat over it all. It is ultimately still in our hands, and if we throw in the towel after one defeat we may as well gift Watford 2nd place now. Thigs could change after Saturday's game and we need to assess how things are then. I'm sure Brucie and the players won't be writing off automatic promotion, so why should we? We've shown we can bounce back from poor results and our focus now should be on getting the 3 points on Saturday.
Some of you will be gibbering wrecks every week when we get back to the PL. Well written piece there Marcus AG. I still think Prossie hasn't had a decent run of games but I know that's a minority view
I had said time and again I honestly think he should be given 6 consecutive 90 mins minimum no matter how well he does in those. Not now obvs, but it shouldve been at the mid-point of the season. If he's ****e at the culmination of this then fair enough but he ahsnt had a chance.
I don't get this Watford deserve to win from. Look at the stats, we had far more shots, shots on target, possession and corners. I was surprised how negative they where in the second half. I'm not saying City are brilliant, but think City deserved a point.
If we never see Proschwitz again, it will be too soon. Last night was his 27 appearance for us and other than nicking a couple of goals against Ipswich, he's been a waste of a player on pretty much every occasion. I know most of those appearances were from the bench, but that's because he looked even worse when he started. He'll be gone next season, I wouldn't even bother putting him on the bench from now on.
agreed that's the end of Proschwitz, Fryatt back ASAP please & Aluko over pre-season will render him irrelevant.. don't know if we'll sign Gedo if we don't go up.. & there's Boyd & Simpson as strikers..
He'll be on a decent wage and long contract won't he? Unfortunately I can't see us getting rid of him or Jakupovic.
Anyone got an idea of when Fryatt could be back? All I've heard is "towards the end of the month". Is he in full training yet? Only listened on radio, but sounds like Koren and Bruce should be out of starting XI. Without Meyler again for Boro, I'd say the team should look like this from the start: Stockdale McShane / Hobbs / Chester Elmo / Quinn / Fathi / Evans / Brady Boyd / Gedo Shore up the midfield and put some proper goal scorers up front. Boro haven't won in 5, they may be another so-called "bogey" team, but we won against Burnley after the defeat against Palace. Similar circumstances - who knows, a win for us and a Cardiff win would have us back at 4 pts ahead.
Fryatt's been back in full training a couple of weeks now I think but he needs a reserve game and I don't think he's had one yet.
He's got two years to run after this season, but I imagine he's keen to move on, he knows he's not going to figure for us, so he might be willing to take a hit, or we'll just farm him out on loan to someone in Germany. Jakupovic only has a year to run and probably isn't on much of a wage, so I doubt we're all that concerned about him.
Fathi won't play, Bruce see's him in training every day and obviously at this stage thinks its not worth the risk playing someone who hasn't played at this level in the middle of the park. Stockdale Chester Faye Hobb Elmo Koren Evans Quinn Brady Boyd Gedo I'm as frustrated as anyone with Koren but Bruce won't drop him, and Boro aren't going to press us like Watford did and they certainly aren't going to play 352 like Watford did.
