Fair enough And had we hung on to the win we'd be crowing about finishing above you as well. It is fair to say that both teams can be disappointed with their final positions because I don't think they fairly reflect our performances at times. But the difference is we have performed above our and everybody else's expectations (i.e. many people predicted we wouldn't stay up before the season started) but you finished below yours (plenty of talk about challenging for europe).

So I still think that we actually have far more to feel positive about and you have Tchoyi to thank for giving you this smoke screen to deflect attention in the NE from what would have otherwise been a terrible season for you. But remember nobody outside of the north east is going to be fooled into thinking you have achieved anything.

1st time you finish above us, you just scraped survival and we went down by a Damien Duff own goal, but ended up winning the CC and reviving the team
2nd time we were in the CC and you were in the PL
3rd time, we thrashed you 5-1 and should have done the double, but you got a lucky last minute goal to scrape a draw.

Yes of course , I wasn't talking about bragging rights , I was talking about club finishing above the other club.

How can we not have the bragging rights having beaten them 5-1 and dominated the other one as well? If we had gloated this much every time we finished above them , it would have been carnage. Only a few years ago that they were in the fizzy pop whilst we were in Milan.

Im laughing at the fact this is your 4th season in the premier league and you're chuffed with this season? If I was you I would be guttered deep down I know you are. This was a massive chance for you to pull away from us but unfortunately for you lot you havnt. Youve bettered us by a point, you should be guttered. Youve missed a massive opportunity to pull ahead of us but deep down youre trying to get us back for the 5-1 but you cant as its only a point. If I was a Mackem this year I would of been guttered with that season. In three years time if we finish 10th I will be quite guttered after all I want to progress...
