The (two week) ban came as a result of a complaint made. Swords was asked to either substantiate offensive allegations relating to the complainant's father or apologise. He failed to do either. Whilst there has never been a complainant's clique (and as mods we'd never kowtow to people trying to pull our strings anyway), we have to act on valid complaints. That's what happened in this case.
You could say that... Banned for spending too much time reading meaningless twaddle on here lately. Not aimed at you though DT. Not wishing to blow smoke up Uranus but your stuff's improved no end imho. Seriously though, like others on here (and at work) I've been the unwilling host to what must've been a diversity of assorted bugs. Not much fun when you're getting on a bit!
Hi Matt Both of us have been very busy at work. I check in here several times a day just to make sure all is well. Despite the long international break and our own death by a thousand cuts, the board has been relatively quiet and subdued in recent weeks. As you know myself and Brix try to stay in the shadows. Putting my seat belt on now for the last few games. Still a glimmer of hope somewhere in the back of my mind but the light is fading fast. Talk soon

There was me thinking swords was on a ban for fashion crimes. I saw him walking down O'Connell Street in Dublin this afternoon. He was wearing an 80's style purple silk kimono with a yellow dragon on the back, Kung-Fu slippers, lime green waffle trousers by Farah and a black leather Kenny Everett cap. Proper nutter that lad.
You should have let us know you were coming over. We could have arranged a pub in Swords to watch the Fulham game. I suppose with 6 of you, the house rental makes more sense economically than 3 X hotel rooms or whatever.
Whilst I think the ban was wrong for many reasons, I know the mods had to react to a complaint put in. Cannot blame the mods Not sure what the ideal solution would be but those that complained really should look at their own posts a bit more closely. Not all innocent! I suppose if that's your game then be prepared to get caught out. I always believe don't give it if you cant take it...seems others feel differently? That's all i'm saying on it and I've read all the posts that were sent about it...ALL of them! Finally Swords will be sitting there laughing his nuts off that he's got another thread dedicated to himself....He Is good isn't he ?!!
According to the house rules Swords is on standard sanction 4 and fourth offence. Some of us have never been sanctioned.
