Just had a look to see how ticket sales are going for the next two home games. I'm not really surprised that 5 days from the Swansea game and there are approx 50 tickets left. Now on the face of it that's not bad, but consider this, last season all casual tickets were sold out within 20/25 minutes of going on sale, the Swansea tickets have been available for over 3 weeks! The Reading game on the 20th April still has hundreds, yes hundreds available, they have been available for over a week. It looks as if people are looking at the cost, allied to the woeful performances, and voting to stay away. I have noticed in recent games that there have been many empty seats in and around where we sit, in fact at the Southampton game there was empty seats 3 each side, 4 in front and what looked like a half a row behind. NCFC, be very aware the fans are NOT happy.
I agree ILD - I noticed a number of empty seats (that are usually filled) for the Saints game and my cousin, who attends the occassional game, was genuinely surprised when he applied for a ticket for the Swans game and was told there were"plenty" available last Friday. If the staple diet we get fed is undigestible stodge then it will eventually lead to occassional / casual supporters voting with their feet (or rather their wallets).
It takes a while for the Swansea Home tickets to sell out also, sometimes there are a few empty seats but not many. I heard Carrow road has very good atmosphere, is this true? Because im going saturday with no hope whatsoever, but hopefully a good day out!
When we get the team playing the Norwich way then it's a really great atmosphere, but I'm afraid just lately it's been very flat as were having to watch a very defensive set up game after game. Hope you enjoy your day in Norfolk.
In 2011/12 we averaged 26,606 over 19 games, this season we average 26,683 over the 15 games played, looks to me things are on the up,and being in the position we are in i would expect interest to be high for the last 4 games.
I'm sure interest in the game will be high, whether the game is actually interesting or not might be debatable.
I remember the days when I could just drive up and by a ticket on the day. Now you have to be committed because of the advance purchase of an expensive ticket.
I think the reason there are still tickets available for the Swansea game is because Swansea have actually sent back some of there allocation. This was posted on the NCFC twitter account today Norwich City FC ‏@NorwichCityFC 6h TICKETS: Swansea have returned some of their allocation for Sat. Seats for Block H in Jarrold Stand now on sale: http://bit.ly/XKyEu1
Fair enough, but when I checked, the available tickets were all over the stadium, only about 6 in the Jarrold!
Aye Also, they released them to general sale 2 weeks earlier than planned, maybe because of the Easter break Another reason it's strange they are still on sale
