Not entirely sure about MM's tactics here...all 5 bench subs on instead of winning combo. I know we have 2 tough games and 1 day less rest, but surely this is unsettling for our 'fluency' and continuity?! Why not stick with winning team...and then bring the subs on 2nd half as legs weary?
The opposite of what you think could happen. We could bring on our 'better' players late on and let them run ragged on a tiring Millwall, so long as we can stay in it 'til then.
He knows what he's doing.... its just a pain that every other lowly club manager seems to know what they're doing.at the moment. Its a freak league... we should be home and dry by now. One thing's for sure... we would have been relegated by now if PJ had stayed any longer.
His stats speak for themselves, but that doesn't mean the man is perfect! I do think today's team choice was odd, 5 changes from a winning side is a lot. I'm happy with a draw but I do wonder what the result would have been if he hadn't changed the team so much. Obviously I understand why he made the changes, we could have easily lost this game if the players were too tired. Either way, a tough away point gained today
In hindsight, with us keeping 4 clean sheets on the trot and yourselves conceding only 2 in 7 prior to today, 0-0 was a bookie bashing bet
although it didn't work as he would have liked considering we didn't win i think mick was right to change things round. first of all he didn't change any of the back four, wise move. drury was pretty useless on saturday, murphy wasn't great, nor was edwards. tabb has hardly played recently so 2 games in 3 days might be a bit too much. you had to start JET after his cameo against leeds and nouble deserved (and justified) a start. but as you all say, a good and very vital point after other results. onwards and upwards to derby, my dad tells me we always beat them away???
Lets hope so PP! If we do nick a win...then I am sure we shall be alright from then on in...and more confident to attack the games...we have had 3 poor starts last matches...struggled...held on...and managed to come out with something!
