I'm not shouting anyone down, I'm just posting my opinion which is wjhat people generally do on a football forum. I suggest that the 'happy clappers' on here are not so touchy when an opinion differs from their own. Oh, and BTW, I still think we'll lose<ok>

The thing is, what are we supposed to do? Change managers?
I have said on other threads that particularly at this point in the season it is insane to sack people but that is now becoming a sickening trend with Southampton, Reading and now Sunderland following suit. Saints had turned the corner anyway so that was ridiculous and did Reading play better at The Emirates - No! Sunderland is totally crazy and I have no idea what the question was but Di Canio is certainly not the answer. Stick with Hughton, we are going to be O.K. although we must hope for a little better next season and the new signing (s) will help. Holt has been disappointing this year without doubt and that is where most of our goals came from.

    Reasons to be positive:

    1. We won't have a Camp keeper with lettuces for hands this week
    2. Tetty could be back
    3. Swansea are poor away from home
    4. Swansea have very little to play for whereas we are now very much fighting for survival and in front of a big crowd this should be a huge motivation
    5. We are not conceding many
    6. The refereeing is not going to be as bad as it was at the Stadium of Light
    7. We do not have a new manager who is a fascist

    Reasons to be negative:

    1. We are currently less likely to score than the Elephant Man in Stringfellows
    2. Swansea are a good side who play decent football
    3. Michu has found his shooting boots
    4. Swansea will be allowed to make substitutions at any time whereas Norwich can only do so after 80 minutes or more (apparently).

Overall I am not totally confident but we may just mange to bore the Swans to death or they may score an og or give us a penalty or two.

I'm not touchy KIO. I just profoundly disagree with you. Neither am I a Happy Clapper, and if you had been near me at Wigan you would realise this. I just tend to take the long view, and try not to be reactive.

I know a lot of the time you create your own luck in football, but surely we must be due some kind of freak incident to help us? When was the last time a defender sold the keeper short with a back-pass, or the opposition had a red-card given that shouldn't?

Sorry GG, I'm just so fed up with our Manager and IMO, his ineptness that I may sometimes come across as aggressive, I apologise. I'm really struggling to see any positives that's all, as I see so many similarities with now and '95 and Chase's infamous 'we only need four more points' speech. If we don't WIN Saturday (which I don't think we will), we are in serious poo with Arsenal up next.

And to Dave, yes I might rant a bit now and then but that's because I care so passionately about my beloved NCFC. I would never deny anyone their right to voice their opinions and I also expect them to respect mine <ok>

    Can we move on

Happy to move on, KIO. Never have doubted your support for the club; and please don't think that I cannot see the problems where they exist.

Sorry KIO, I've only just seen this, of course we can move on and yes, I realise you are a passionate supporter, as am I and everyone else on here, maybe I'm older than you and remember the times when we could only dream of dining at the top table! That doesn't stop the hurt at the way we're playing right now, but it sure is a reality check!

    <ok>

Just thinking about it, we could be in trouble if hoots adopts the same tactics vs Swansea. If we let them have the lion share of possession they could hurt us, unless it's just passing around in their half
We need to go out more attack-minded, regardless of the formation (I know that has importance too)

Good to see the negativity on yet another thread has at least veered now towards something positive! Yum yum!

As Cromer says, Magdalen Street has several good 'Indians'. My personal favourite (I've never been disappointed) is Ali Tandoori.

Thanks lads - may even do both. Sorry about the slip Cromer, but I would have said that even if I was in London <ok>

The Ali is also my favourite old school curry house. It is also near a couple of decent pubs selling proper beer (head further our of the city a bit) and the architecturally pleasing Tombland area of the city (heading into the city a bit). Personally I'd avoid Prince of Wales Road as it is the home of the local youths and caters accordingly - it is fairly lively but the only place you could conceivably run into any twats looking for trouble simply because you are not from these parts

If you like a modern take on curry then the nearby Spice Lounge is OK. Norwich also has a lot of good Thai restaurants and some excellent pubs but you pays your money you take you choice.

Cheers cromer, nc and Norfolk. Stayed in Hotel on first night as I was knackered and then went in the Ali and had a cracking curry tonight.

Great advice which meant we also took in the Cathedral and some nice old buildings. Cheers Lads <cheers>
