Well i presume that will be the end of that style of football, anyone know how PDC likes to set up and play?

A high tempo and passing rather than hoofball.

Wonder where he see Sess playing..

Can't wait to see how he swaps it around and with which players..

I'm looking foward to seeing what happens regarding transfers mate in the summer surly dicanio will be able to attract some names to the club , as for his style I guess it will be high pressure get in there faces put in a tackle early on lol . I hated the counter attack style just didn't fit our team at all and I'm sure di canio will go for a different style of player in the summer bigger , stronger more leaders I expect to see a few seria a players in

The only way I see us scrapping counter attacking football is if Mangane plays. From what I understand he likes to bring the ball forward and play it on the deck, this would let us sit further up the pitch which will certainly bring the best out of AJ and Sess and should lead to DG receiving the ball in the box instead of outside.

That to me is the only viable way to scrap counter attack. Our other CB's aren't good enough footballers to play any other system apart from sitting deep.

Style of football today demands that defenders are able to pass the ball with a midfield quality. until we have them defenders on the pitch I'm afraid that we've no choice to sit deep and play direct.

What are these "High Tempo" and "Passing" things you speak of?

I was dreading the Chelsea game.
Now I'm looking forward to it. With some excitement I might add!

I agree Billy D. Haven't been over yet to any games this season but even watching us on Sky was a burden. Saturday was a disgrace to the fans who would cheer anything as long as they seen a bit of effort. MON at the end could not even instil that. Do you think all this talk about fascism will be remembered for long if we beat the evil empire on the 14th?

At Swindon he played with 2 wingers and 2 forwards, he likes his teams to get the ball down and knock it around. He always maintained a tight defence.

I think everyone is getting carried away here.

PDC will have the same slow, average quality players that both Bruce and MoN have had to work with for the past 2 years and they sacked both men.

If and its still a massive if we stop up this season, then we may see some changes next season. However, between now and the final game at Spurs dont expect miracles just maybe more effort and spark perhaps.

Getting the 7 points I reckon we need will to stop up, will still be a huge task imo.
