im away offshore at the moment working my little arse off but my stomach as being turning since we beat the hudders. i cant help but think tonites game is the biggest since our premiership days. to go 7 points clear with 6 to go i cant help but think we can only throw it away after that.its a brilliant feeling and im sure lots of us are feeling the same. what a championship look at the relagation places it looks to me that any 3 of 14 can still go down . to top it of nigel pearson must be gutted there hanging on by there coat tails ,bus for nigel i think. so come on city 3 points tonite and were dreaming again enjoy the game lads
"Stomach turning" you and me lol, this is one game we really need to take the maximum points from although a draw would not be a bad result I fancy Faye if playing to head us to glory.
how many 'big' games did we have in the premiership. we just got beat every week didn't we? the last 'big' game i remember was at wembley in the championship? before that, probably watford home and away in the play-offs, and before that a 'big' win at Bradford which for all intent and purposes sealed promotion that year
Morning Tigers, Just stopping by to wish you all the best for tonight. I've got my trip booked for our last game and I really hope it's a double promotion party Nervous times for us all at the moment but for one day only, this bluebird is a tiger Good luck
Cheers, mate . Mind you, if we win tonight, I don't know whether or not I'll want you to beat them at the weekend.... I mean - are we chasing you, or are we getting as big a gap over them as possible?
i probably wont sleep tonight, just hope the atmosphere will be like the play off game at KC,that brought tears to my eyes.Give them hell Tigers
Biggest of the season so far but not the BIG one yet. The BBC describes tonight as Watfords six pointer, for us it's just a match. • Steve Bruce's second-placed Hull have switched between defeat and victory in their last seven league games and are due another loss if that pattern is maintained, which would also be their 900th in second level league football. • This is a vital six-pointer in Watford's bid for automatic promotion, which has hit upon turbulent waters of late, with just one point out of nine, and one win in five. Go figure!
So excited today, couldn't sleep last night and was on here at stupid o'clock. This has been the best Easter for us I can ever remember and fingers crossed it ends in style tonight!
Honestly from me, I hope we win tonight (obviously) and hope Watford get tonked by Cardiff on Saturday. I don't care if we go up 1st or 2nd, as long as there are 2 presentations on our last game of the season, it's all good. We need to build a bigger gap against Watford tonight and we need them to fall away. I really can't cope with a 3 or 4 way fight for the top 2. Im usually upbeat about our chances but really not looking forward to the Boro game. Us and Cardiff going up will do just fine, in either place.
Been following City for 45 years and i'm used to us getting promoted without winning the League, so for me, 2nd would be just fine. Lets get that gap wider tonight and Cardiff do us a favour on Saturday, my ticker couldn't cope with a close finish. Then we can have a fantastic last day at the K.C.
As I said on another thread my ideal scenario would be for us and Cardiff mathematically promoted before the final game. But with the title still up for grabs so the game has some meaning. But no matter what the result of that game is, we still have a joint party at the end. Failing that I'll just take a guaranteed 2nd place before that match.
Obviously a win tonight and 7 point cushion would be great but I'm not sure whether a draw to maintain the 4points difference might not be better to keep us on our toes. We might just get a bit complacent if we have that 7 point cushion and that could be fatal. Our chasers have all just had a wobble and could now be back on the form that put them in their league positions to start with. It's clear from comments that although we're in a great position we're all getting the jitters so hope the players can keep focussed for the last 7 games.
Just left the KC stadium shop and its madness around the ticket office. I would say about 1000 plus waiting. If not it wont be far off. Thanklfully you can just turn up at game time and pay for those who are unable to get a ticket in advance. This is the BIGGEST EVER GAME @ THE KC IMO. WIN and we knock off Palace and almost see off Watford. Another round of quality results at the weekend and the gap could be almost 10 points. Go Tigers Go. WIN.!!!!!!
Let's get back at Sky for moving the Huddersfield game, by making the end of the season as boring as possible.
Due to SYP and Barnsley not moving the ko time, SKY have now picked the Peterboro v. Sheffield Wednesday game for the 5.20pm match that day. Thankfully.!!!!
Cheers mate On saturday from 5:20pm to 7:10pm(ish) this Tiger will be a Bluebird, hoping for your win against Watford!
Also, on subject of TV, Hull vs Cardiff on final day is a certainty for Sky, isn't it? At least they can't change the time, all matches must be at 12:45...
