Unfortunately not many of you contributed to tonight's matchday thread. Those that did (toastie take a bow), would have witnessed a brilliant performance by none other than RVW, culminating in an injury time hat-trick. Please God let us survive this year, Ricky is the dog's bollocks !
I know the overall standard in Portuguese league football isn't great but I assume that Braga are a decent outfit? I'm getting more convinced by the hype every day!
Yeah it was a decent match, Braga did well to come from behind twice and it's could've gone either way in the end after Sporting had a player sent off (second bookable offence) but RICKAAYYY was the difference in the end... edit: braga are 4th in the portuguese league and sporting are 8th after their win...
A hat trick? Hughton won't like that. You mean he was in the opponent's penalty area? What about his defensive duties?
Great update here: http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...-all-over-portuguese-front-pages-could-be-sig
Yeah but as said by the vet: he was provided with opportunities to score. I remember holt scoring when was given the ball in the opponents box
How much must mcnasty be wishing that he'd fronted up the extra money sporting wanted in January and Ricky scored that hat trick at Wigan instead?!
If we stay up I don't think he'll be losing much sleep about the delay. It's only because he waited till sporting were desperate to sell and top half clubs weren't interested in paying money up front that we got him. I expect that we could have agreed a far higher price in January, but spurs or Newcastle wld have matched the asking price and got the chance to turn his head.
Just seen the highlights on player, what a hit with his left peg as well for the shot hitting fhe crossbar!
Been watching highlights on here: http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideo...bound-ricky-van-wolfswinkel-scores-hat-trick/
