http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-Di-Canio-appointment-by-Sunderland-worrying- So what you think? I reckon (FARE) should really look at themselves here. they've constantly embarrassed themselves this season through stupid unthoughtful comments. (ie Fifa complaint against England fans based on here say.) To insinuate that fascists are racists is disgraceful. Are all communists looking to bring down the western world? OR are they just farmers? Are all Muslims extremists? or are they just doctors? It's almost as though (FARE) want and need racism so they can function their organisation and make their voice heard. If Paulo makes a raceist comment then fair play, hope he faces the consequences but he's done nothing wrong. (FARE) Need to grow up if you ask me.
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/31/s...band-sunderland-football/index.html?hpt=hp_c3 same on CNN only thing i can think off here is there is no such thing as bad publicity (or so they say) hopefully it will all blow over in the next week. Above link has been edited it now has Byrne saying stuff not the ones in the sky link. typical.
Only in football would a openly fascist person be able to manage a top flight club. Harry was right when he said if Saddam Husain came to a club and invested millions fans would chant there is only one saddam.
My worry is for black and ethnic players. (FARE) seems to have lost all credibility and the players deserve better representation.
He shouldn`t be worried. All he has to do is tell them to stick to football related matters. If they don`t get a bite they`ll go and fish somewhere else.
The last I heard this was a free country and if people want to belong or to support any political party then that is their choice. The bigots and fascists are the ones who seek to deny us that right and tell you or I how we must think. Di Canio has been in England long enough for everyone to know what he is about and I think the majority of people here will laugh at the idiots trying to make political capital out of this.
I'm a Toon fan who just wanted to say how pathetic this big political debate has been sparked, again by a Southern-biased media. I don't remember anything like this being raised about Di Canio when the BBC profiled his work at Swindon, he positively heralded as one to watch. I think the Football League show even asked him about making the move to the Premier League one day, without questioning if his alleged rampant fascism would prove problematic. I can honestly say this is the first I'd heard about his views. As for Milliband quitting, yeah ok it's maybe principled or FORCED more likely by pressure from his brother – you're not gonna miss his footballing nous anyway. Thankfully for Di Canio however we live in a state we like to describe as a democracy. His personal views or indeed how he votes should have nowt to do with his professional life, as long as he doesn't use it as a soap box. It's all about whipping up headlines and the numpties in London taking a swipe at North East football again. It's a fascist media if anything that I resent. Personally I think this country needs to start looking at itself politically anyway because we all know our brand of 'democracy' is just pluralism for fascists anyway – we just get pick which one. But I digress! Ignore them and judge him on results
I think in the statement that he and the club made today has distanced him self from those previous statements!
