So you don't have any players that are capable of filling in different positions? Genuine question.

Half the teams the league could probably argue that they have lost a number of key players for long periods of the season.

Not a single team can claim they've been as unfortunate as us this season when it comes to injuries. No matter who you are, if both 1st choice full backs are out and your CB and captain, as well as your most creative attacker and 1st choice goalkeeper, you're going to struggle.

The reason the lads like Simpson and Anita etc. are not playing week in week out is because they are not as good as the players who'd usually be playing. Sounds very obvious, and it is. Apparently not to you though, because you don't seem to acknowledge that with 5-6 first team players out, we are a weakened side.

Having said that, they are all premiership players (apparently) so I'd have liked to have seen us get beat and having a go, not just sitting back and seemingly accepting defeat before a ball is even kicked.

 

Sorry, I forgot the world was conspiring against NUFC and that injuries for any other club is an excuse whereas at Newcastle iit is an explanation.

 

Just hope bramble is playing the derby. No amount if passion from di cabio can fix that blokes mistakes.
