I just saw the table... Newcastle below us? I don't get it. They assured us they'd be above us come the end of the season...

    Did they lie?

    Are they just that stupid?

Was it ever in doubt finishing above the scumbags. They'll come on with their 5-1 and 4 points and we still finished above them.
SB has at least hit the minimum target.

Is that the 1st time we have won on the last day of the premiership?

Well done with the result today and the final position.

It was a strange season for both our clubs; your near end of season slide down the table and ours with oh-so-many false dawns. At least we're both safe for tne next campaign.

    Well done you lot.

    Cheers mate.

I for one will side with you on this, i'm delighted we finished above you, but all told, 10th is a solid season, and if we can iron a few things out, many reasons for optimism next season.

Great first year for you lads, you won the battles, we won the war i guess, but we can all be satisfied, if not delighted.

Thanks. I would still happily swap managers. And the boards...

Right, off to open something red and with a bit of bite to it. See you all next year.

Win at West Ham, top 10 finish, above the mags and with all those injuries. I once again side with Steve Bruce.

    Sorry i ever doubted.

I said at the start of the season that I would be happy with a top 10 finish. We have finished 10th, above N*wcastle, Zenden went out superbly, am I happy?

Couldn't agree more, especially with the "I guess" bit. They came up with no great hope, smashed us at their place and were unlucky not to beat us at our place. But we finish above them in the last minute of the season. So I suppose we have bragging rights on paper but it all could have been so different. We could have finished 6th or 7th, 15 points ahead of them or we could have finished 5 points adrift of them in 14th. So we just have to take the way it did finish: "they won the battles, we won the war and both teams can be satisfied, if not delighted."

Just want to add a word of appreciation for ClearlyDeludedGloryHunter . Took a good deal of courage to come on our forum with such magnanimity. Don't know if I could have done that if the boot had been on the other foot. Respect for you and your team.

Cheers mate. Congrats on a good season for your guys too. Both clubs are going to have a busy summer in the transfer market, so I expect we'll be arguing over who is getting who next. ;)
