Can someone answer me a question to which i've had differing answers please (and of course im a complete Luddite when it comes to techy things)

Does the time/alarm on an i phone change automaticlly tonight and if so WHEN does it go forward ??
Im on a quick turnaround and after finishing at 1130PM tonight, I'm back in at 0430am tommorow and would hate to be late.
    Thanks in advance comrades.

Clocks officially go forward at 1.00am, I'd be amazed if the clock on a I-phone didn't automatically change...

I think it does BUT i'm getting a bit paranoid 'cos a couple of people have said it doesn't (along with half a dozen who say it does)

Yes it should do but to double check.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Date & Time. > automatically update (set on)

    My smart phone updates automatically.

They get the time from some central location and update when you have any data signal.

You'd have been scammed if you had a modern phone that didn't.

Don't worry Staines, the magical time traveling elves living in your phone will sort it for you.

My iPhone changed overnight by itself but was in 'aircraft mode' (ie., radio, wifi and Bluetooth all turned off and not sending/receiving). So I guess it has the dates hard wired into the software somewhere, or, rather smart, is sent the date/time of the next change at some point when it IS connected to a cell and applies it on time whether connected or not.

Anyway, It really was the correct time and I wasn't an hour late getting up! :)

I always set my clock 37 minutes in front to compensate for the curvature of my partner's beautiful breasts

One stroke and anything can happen
and 37 minutes allows me time to think of an excuse that I will be late

So there's a danger of you suffocating if you start setting the clock an hour in front?...<laugh>
