No story posted anywhere to this point, but Twitter is rife with speculation that Martin O'Neill has been sacked by Sunderland. UPDATE: BCC has beaten me to the punch with a thread on it. Erk. Moderator, please delete mine. Thanks.
Have to say I'm surprised at this. He's never really got them moving I suppose, but he's obviously a good manager as proven in his past jobs. Stupid time to be sacking people in any case. Losing 0-1 to Man U is hardly sackable...is it? We reap the rewards of Sunderland's stupid decisions anyway. Bruce is ours. Many thanks. Carry on.
I think this will work out for them just like how sacking Brown worked for us. Little chance of getting a decent replacement and no time for a replacement to make any major changes.
I fancy Sunderland, Reading and QPR to go down. Despite having some good players, Sunderland have looked poor whenever I've seen them this season.
They can only recall a long term long (full or half season) in a transfer window. The thing we need to be worried about now is whether the deal still includes an agreed fee and buy option, as then the new manager can't decline our bid should we make one.
