They did. It was because they felt aggrieved that a free-kick had not been awarded. Still, like you say, poor sports, although it was a foul.

It was bad sportsmanship by Town, but to be fair it was a definite freekick. However as they say, you shouldn't take the law into your own hands.

Vaughan was "fouled" before Stockdale put ball out for him. Vaughan then screamed at his team mate not to throw ball back to City. Evans flew in and committed foul and protested, got booked. Ref then called Vaughan out of the pack and booked him. To me, it looked like he booked him for Unsportsmanlike Conduct?

They just seemed really aggressive all game. Not dirty in the tackle but just really pissed off at us and aggressive for some reason.

Vaughan first got pissy in the first half when he was fouled by Elmo in the softest way possible, a little nudge from behind, and he got up and was raging at Elmo and started pushing him. Then he was screaming in the ref's face about something later on, then Beckford raised his hands (a long way away from me but you see most players get sent off for it even if it wasn't a punch) to Meyler over a foul that he'd actually made. Then Vaughan goes crazy again near the end.

Surprisingly the one time Vaughan stayed calm was when he was twatted by Stockdale as they raced for the ball - totally fair challenge but looked painful for both parties. He just got up and shook Stockdale's hand on that occasion. The guy has ADHD or something.
