Alan Lee...remember him? Just saw him in the stands at Huddersfield sporting two pony tails! One for each goal he scored for us in a thousand appearances!
Beaten by cheats. That olympic diver Gayle should have been booked by a gutless ref who did all he could to ensure a Posh win. ****hole of a stadium by the way.
Not on here to make you feel good Minxy, just telling it as it is. You should spend a game in the away end.
ITI, I listened to the match on ccplayer and it sounded like we were very poor and our goal was a poor effort. the 1st penalty apparently wasn't a penalty but the 2nd was. it also sounded like the Posh, over 90 minutes, deserved the win. is that a fair assessment?
Taff! We were in total dissaray in the second half. First half wasn't much better to be fair. Hudson is going to be a huge loss for the run in. Defence were tied in knots by the pace of their attack, mainly toward Taylor. Add to that the constant diving by Posh and you just knew it was only a matter of time before the ref was going to give them a pen. It's fair to say Malky got it wrong from the start yesterday. Campbell was completely lost without Bellars. Ok Bellars was unlikely to play because of international duties but we were set up to earn another 1 - 0 or a safe draw. We still have players available with pace too burn, who could have dismantled their defence. Speculative long balls to Helguson are becoming a real bore to be honest. Whitts is losing the ball too often to warant a first place and is reminiscent of McPhail at his lowest point. Changes were made too late in the game too have any effect upon the score.
ITI, I mentioned on another thread that the words "long ball" were uttered all too frequently when we had the ball.
Love our crap ground. A lot of away fans love the chance to stand ..... still you can't please everyone.
Minxy! You couldn't be more wrong as far as standing is concerned. You are talking to someone who always stood at Ninian Park and stood happily yesterday. It's the state of the away end that's letting your ground down. Toilet and refreshment facilities are not up to standard for the Championship. A plywood pissing pot for potentially 3000 fans is not on. Check it out if you don't believe me.
LOL ... actually I have heard that said before There are plans for that end of the ground .... the new build was meant to start ages ago .... but nothing has happened ...... we will lose it to a seating area
Get you're facts right mate .... we are out of relegation for the 2nd time this season .... bottom indeed
Bottoms Up aye posh! Ok my definition of bottoms is not the same as yours, glad to see your shaking things up down there!...
I was there as well. A shambles of a performance , poor tactics , poor team selection. We barely strung 2 passes together and were a goal up because they were pretty useless. 2nd half more of the same and they scored 2 not through good play but well because we were even more useless than them. The first was a nailed on penalty. The 2nd looked like a dive but the ref was on the spot and i havent seen the replay. Been there 3 times and weve always lost. However we were so bad and have been for a while I dont see us getting 3 wins that we are going to need. I cant criticise him for effort but I havent a clue why Helgusson was on the pitch. 2 limited all effort players like Cowie and Gunnarsson but who just cant pass the ball well enough. Meanwhile Kim and Mutch dont get in the side. Laughable that he brought on Rudy for Campbell. A front 2 of Helgusson and Rudy - Cmon Malky whats that all about. Whitts is gone at the moment - hopeless and needs to be left out. Marshall and Campbell ill exclude from crticism. The rest had a nightmare and there needs to be major changes or our season is going to end in failure. Malky time to earn your money. Pboro deserved the win. League table shows they are a poor side. We are top. We were far worse than them. At least they had the occasional good move. Where was Noone? Not on the bench. Ive been staying near Pboro so have had no news on why certain players werent in the squad.
Oh dear, it seems that if you win at London Road the ground is quaint, but if you lose, the ground is crap, perhaps you should spend a bit of time again in the lower divisions to put your expectations into perspective. We don't all have the resources to build a new ground, so have a bit of humility. You were crap and didn't deserve anything from the game yesterday, so live with it and stop blaming a ref that should have penalised you way before he eventually did.
