Could they complete a unique double, whilst being in a relegation position against a top of the table side? Nah!
Cardiff did it against Spurs in 60/61 when Spurs did the double and City got relegated. So I am told!!!
Much as we would love to help Minxy, we need the 3 and at least another 6 afterwards to make sure of promotion and ease our frayed nerves. As a nurse I'm sure you understand the enormous stress we are under. Very best of luck to Posh after next Saturday. I would love to see you avoid the drop if only for your regular high entertainment value.
TEAM NEWS Michael Bostwick (hamstring) is a doubt for Peterborough after picking up an injury in their win at Blackpool. Manager Darren Ferguson will include new loan signing Florent Cuvelier after he signed from Stoke on Wednesday. Cardiff manager Malky Mackay confirmed that midfielder Jordon Mutch is back in training and may feature this weekend. Welsh striker Craig Bellamy will face a late fitness test but captain Mark Hudson (ankle) remains sidelined. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • Peterborough pulled off one of the shocks of the season when they ended Cardiff's 10-match 100% home league record with a 2-1 victory at the City of Cardiff Stadium in the reverse fixture, courtesy of goals from Michael Bostwick and Dwight Gayle. • Posh have scored four goals in each of their last two league matches against Cardiff at London Road, and are aiming to complete a third league double over the Bluebirds. • Cardiff have only registered one league victory at Peterborough; a 2-1 win in October 1986 in the old Fourth Division. Peterborough United • Peterborough's five-match unbeaten sequence of two wins and three draws will face a severe test, as they aim to avoid their first defeat since visiting Bolton on 26 February. • Posh are averaging a point a game at home (19 from 19) and have managed only two clean sheets in league games at London Road. • Loanee Jack Payne could start a club game for the 100th time in his two-club career. Cardiff City • Table toppers Cardiff are pursuing only their second back-to-back league victories in this calendar year, and a sixth win from eight away league games in 2013. • Malky Mackay will be targeting an unrivalled 24th Championship victory of the season from the 200th game of his two-club managerial reign, while a point would give the Bluebirds their 500th draw in league football away from home. • Goalkeeper David Marshall is expecting to make his 300th club career start.
Watford drew and palace losing 1-0. 3 points for us would make it a huge weekend for us. Make that Palace losing 2-0.
Cardiff 37 22 75 Hull 38 10 68 Watford 39 24 67 Palace 39 14 65 If we win tomorrow, that would put us 11 points ahead of third place, then coast home! if!
I can do the math Minxy. What do you suggest as I've got Malky on the phone ? If you want to be loved...be lovable! Orville.
These Easter fixtures seem a bit odd. We have effectively 24 hours before we play Blackburn after Posh, Watford bless them play Tuesday! Something stinks here folks!
I'm going to say it again, time to take advantage and put Peterbrough and Blackburn to the sword, we need emphatic wins to show we are not messing about. I want us up as champions with a 10+ point gap.
We are the best team in this league,we have to put teams like this to bed...............................only the 4th away game ive missed this season as travel difficulties, looks like will miss Watford as well unless they increase our away allocation , we should at least had 4000 off them!!!!!!
Sorry Minxy but I have to be a bit selfish at the business end of the season, good luck after today though
