Ya he is meant to be. I think he was just focusing more on the current crop. Doesn't Carra hold the record for appearances with the youth sides? I only caught the end of the Austria game when Hendo came on and he was just spraying the ball all over the pitch with such ease. ( again 4-0 up, austria, loads of time on the ball, but technique is still there)
No idea. I was going to pick up on the goal scoring statistic but I suppose on how well developed as a player you are. For example, I was going to say 'I am surprised Michael Owen isn't at the top since he scored for fun at every level' but then, he was in the England setup at 17 or 18 years old. Shearer and Jeffers )) weren't.

this is all well and good but reality then bites at 22. under age is not a high standard compared to the prem and then certainly not top 4 prem. if shelvey thinks a few kick about for u21s can do it for him he's another think coming. same for zaha. you an get your move by getting noticed but it takes actual work at a higher level to get a slot in a big team... and whinging and mouthing doesn't help either mr shelvey.
