Gusto on the Quayside, the place where I've seen several footballers.

I like Da Mimmos on Leazes, great food (italian plus other stuff - the steaks and Stroganoff are awesome), decent prices and the staff are great fun.

That Vietnamese on the Bigg Market used to be awesome and pretty authentic. I remember them offering jellyfish salad, though I was always too chicken to try it. Don't think the menu has it any more. And their desserts were amazing.

I like the salsa cafe just down from Tilleys.
    Nice varied choices of tapas.

Last night before the game went to Kingdom restaurant. Food ok but not for me, has the feel of a canteen and Chinese lady wasn't very pleasant.

McD's, you get little stickers on your paper cups and food packing, and if you're lucky you can win a McD's flurry.

    Yummy.

Plus the staff always smile at you.

We ended up eating in the Broad Chair on Quayside, it was a decent, a real man type pub grub.
Ground rib eye beef burger and a warm scotch egg 'bar snack' won my heart

Got to try Albaik in Byker (I know I didn't associate Byker with great food either) Lebanese restaurant, unbelievably good. You have to take your own drink but only increases the value!

Indian - Sachins, Komal - Jesmond
    Italian - Piccolino
    Chinese - Landmark
