Apparently they are willing to offer £18 million for the pair. Activating Remy's £6million release clause if we are relegated.

    Thoughts?

Sounds plausible. Thought much the same on the way home from Villa.

Remy has been compared to Henry, easy to see why, and so it is no surprise if Wenger has taken an interest.

Remy should go because I cant see him handling the NPC, they will kick him out of the game but Samba will be pivotal in us coming back up.

Another Q.P.R thread again poses disaster looming Take stock of how many of these types are started and for what purpose?

I say we will keep both of them. At The moment i am only interested in winning 8 games of football rather speculating again on another bit of gossip which is total rubbish

Sorry but I don't see you posting any threads - ever?

And there isn't exactly much happiness to write about at the moment, truth hurts sometimes. I'm just posting what I read in an article, don't shoot the messenger.

Would be bad business to sell these 2 at about what we paid for them. If Remy is the new Henri, he's worth the £18 M alone.

Pointless thread. As it stands, I can see us winning our last eight games. The op is a moot point.

If he has a clause as has been suggested then it doesn't matter what he's worth, the most anybody will need to pay is the release fee.

The most poignant part of your comment is 'IF', no one knows Remy's contract details.

I also believe that TF and Co will not be 'mugged' by the Gooners, hold out for at least what we paid plus a little bit more.
The Gooners would be vastly improved with Samba and Remy, we all know that and i'm sure they know it.

Lets hope we don't go down and we can then hold them to ransom.

IF and its a big if we go down then i can see us losing this type of player, we will have to re-build and these two will be the 1st to do the big off.

A season ago Remy was being rated at £25M but then this minor heart defect he has emerged and after Muamba, football clubs are a little more cautious with this type of thing and his price fell. I thnk he will leave in the summer whether we stay up or not but we should get at least what we paid for him.

How about this as a theory...

No one on here knows diddly **** about the real truth regarding contracts and the money involved .. it's all guesswork.

Why don't we keep the squad in principle as one thing should be learnt ... its takes time to make so many changes work inside a football club

If players leave because of their contractual terms then we wish them well in their future

More guesswork? ... Finance, loopholes and rules. I imagine that everything and trust everything will be explored with the best interests of the club at heart ... I believe this and for those who do then we should take a deep breath and be thankful... Look at how many other clubs don't have our board, ambitious and transparency. For those posters who choose to believe darker days are ahead then party on ... I don't like you and I am proud not to share that opinion.

I say in advance in the awful event that we fail and fall then why on why do we need to rebuild again. Football is football and I would never agree that we need a different type of player that is complete rubbish and I was right to say this when we came up.

Confidence, Stability, Team Spirit and Togetherness count for everything and you build on that... I have always been right IMO. We start on here by chucking players away then we will never get any results. We were sincerely grateful to NW for the way he got us playing and promoted but IMO he then ****ed up big time as the club changed ownership Yes it was unfortunate, Hughes of course was a disaster but can anyone see at least what he was trying to build? FFS ... If you know football then you should have some wisdom here! ... after all the players are beginning to click now under Harold ... Are we to believe that Harold has brilliant methods ... (No IMO) but he has added to a great squad which he has strengthened even more and the players are responding and proving a lot of posters on here to reconsider their views. We look currently a very good side with a brilliant bench on each game and still have a good chance of staying up. I believe we will give anyone a good game now and we are growing very quickly. I prefer to remain positive and of course when we survive then Harold will strengthen even further in the summer and we will have an excellent season next year and at last we will achieve a top 8 position. I won't change that view until the maths is against us and cannot be denied

Why we need to blow up yet again and rebuild I just can't see it ... REMY to go to the World Cup as a QPR player and win the golden boot

Would be interesting, I think doubtful, unless something is happening at Arsenal that we don't know.

Samba is not the kind of CD that they look for, they would tend to look for someone who can play the ball out from the back, distribute from the back, (imo this is why they have so many difficulties in defence as the priorities are backwards) not Samba style really.

Remy would fit in, in fact I thing would be very successful there, however they already have 3 players crying because they are not the regular CF, would a fourth help them....

I actually do think the club need to be thinking very carefully about what happens should we go down. Any sensible business would be making contingency plans and front and centre of that is the playing staff. There is likely to be a very large turnaround of players that needs to be managed and building a squad for the Championship should definitely be in the planning phase right now.
