Ok, quick round of opinion required.....

I have 3 colleagues who are fans of Spurs, Sunderland and Newcastle.

Needless to say, the banter is constant but who would you say has the bragging rights on this season so far?

In terms of results in the league, we have a draw and a defeat against Newcastle; two draws against Spurs; a win and draw against Sunderland.

I feel for the respective size of the clubs, we have certainly had a better season than either Newcastle or Sunderland. And we are unbeaten in 3 games against Spurs, though obviously they are 20 points ahead in the league.

Spurs on league position however we did knock them out the carling cup ending their most realistic possibility of silverware :)

Yep I don't think your Spurs mate has too much to be disappointed about this season. Regardless of our results with them.

Spurs have had a great season.
Newcastle have fallen from top 6 to bottom 6.
Sunderland have fallen from mid table mediocrity to relegation scrap.

So yeah we have it over spurs in our games with them, but they have the rights.

In that mini-leaue I would say we come 2nd behind Spurs.
The North East clubs have taken a hit while we have trodden water effectively. Spurs have become a very good side to watch but need to finish well now otherwise the early effort could all be wasted.

Spurs definitely as they have exceeded aspirations whereas the NE clubs have underachieved. I reckon we are pretty much where we thought we'd be - mid to lower table looking pretty likely to stay up although the fact that we have the head to head edge with Spurs will give you some bragging rights.
