Absolutely delighted for them, they were well shafted with the MK Dons farce and have come from non existance to be back in the football league, Shame for Luton but they'll be back sooner or later
I thought so too. If they ultimately overtake MK Dons there will be some justice and maybe a message? Namely the logical business decision ie Norwegian owners moving Wimbledon 75 miles North isn't always correct in football?
Well done them. Some clubs take decades to reach the promised land, so they have done very well to achieve football league status in such a short time. FC United of Manchester are also doing well in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, after only being in existence for 6 years. 1. FC Halifax Town 2. Colwyn Bay 3. Bradford Park Avenue 4. FC United of Manchester 5. North Ferriby United 6. Buxton
Don't forget they came from the Isthmian League, with Wycombe, and rose all the way to the Premier before the demise. Let's hope they can do it again. A fairy tale.
I know we came up from Division Three and Division Four with them, then had a good season back in the Old Division Two when they were promoted to the top flight. Then we ****ed up and ended up back in the bottom tier for 8 years.
I'll add my well done to that. Feel for Luton, the FA really ****ed them over, but they ****ed Wimbledon over allowing them to move the club like a franchise as well.
Yes well done Wimbledon. Let's hope it isn't long before they are playing MK Dons. What a match that will be!!
