If Brentford can find a ground this quickly, not suggesting just throwing it out there for comment. (No shooting please). A. Why can't we and B. would it make financial sense to share their new stadium? I realise there are colour issues, Red against Blue, but it would be the cheapest way of obtaining a new stadium.
Any news of the possibility of developing the Linford Christie Stadium?

The council are paying for their ground I thought? So it's bound to be quicker as its exactly to the councils requirements.

Why on earth would we share with Brentford? Their new stadium would be no bigger than our present ground so there would be little point and they're too far out anyway...

It will be barely bigger than Loftus Rd as I understand it, so this would make no sense whatsoever.

B*lloks as well: If Brentford rent our place every other week when we play away it makes great financial sense.

Not with todays grass technology. Not with a synthetic pitch either.

I wonder if any football club will try the same type of pitch Saracens have installed at their new ground, if it's good enough for Rugby Union it should be ok for football as well...

Perhaps the Saracens pitch is better given current technology, but haven't we been down the synthetic pitch road already?

I believe their new ground is to have a 10 to 12k capacity, and as others have pointed out its way out in Middlesex. Your latter suggestion makes much more sense though!

Brentford are already going ahead with a new stadium, its 15k. do you think it would make sense to use that?

It makes about as much sense as it would for Chelsea to ground share with us.

Brentford is to us what we are to Chelsea, IE irrelevant.

Brentfords new ground has been on the cards for a number of years, it has 'just happened'.

Barrett homes are building houses along any land they can find in that part of London / Middlesex and offered to build Brentfords new ground in return for the land on which Brentfords old stadium stands.

I said this on 606 ages ago when Fulham were looking, one big ground called the West London Stadium and a sponsor of course, shared by us Fulham and the Bees, modern grass could take it, make it 45000 stadium, being able to close top tier for Brentford.

You could close the top tier for all three at present...<laugh>
