I've only heard Croft pronounce it Fettel, in the same way I've only ever heard Coulthard pronounce "Nick Heidfield"
Correct, just heard him (Horner) on Sky, Mark elected to stay out on the Inters himself and he just didn't judge the time right.
Hopefully the Ferrari's can fast start and do some path clearing for Hamilton Seems the Hamilton block was on a Webber 'outlap' or I just misunderstood what Horner said.
Wait, that must surely make Di Resta the greatest driver ever???? I think people also got frustrated with how he kept moaning that he didn't get the Mclaren seat for 2013, despite a distinctly average season, in which Hulkenburg and Perez both outperformed him. Seems like at the moment though he might be having the last laugh. He also seems to be quick to blame others, and slow to acknowledge any fault of his own. Take the aborted Q2 lap today, other drivers, Button, Vettel, etc would have known whether the lap was worth finishing anyway, and with the chance of rain in the back of their minds, decided whether it was worth finishing. Either the lap was nothing special so aborting was correct, or the lap was decent and Di Resta should have considered finishing it. Granted the team didn't help him, but he's the one at the wheel. Really? Never heard that myself, I've also gone for something like Vfettel.
As much as I loathe Croft, I believe he's correct. That's how I say it anyway. Heidfield though Although it is a direct translation: Feld = field
I'm thinking Felipe baby might win tomorrow, providing Ferrari don't muck his strategy up like they did in Australia. A podium should be on the cards at least, Vettel/Fettel/Wettel/Kettle's tyres will probably have higher degredation, so it gives Ferrari the upper hand already.
Same thing on NBC. He didn't say anything about Hamilton at all. The only thing he said was that he knew he could've gone faster but just couldn't put it all together. I don't recall seeing him have a bobble anywhere during his fastest lap but then again they didn't show much of his lap either.
They've got decent pace. As long as they're aren't too conservative on pit stop strategy and they don't chew up their tyres, they could race well, still think a race win isn't on the cards.
So Vettel has a wet setup? If that's true and the race is dry tomorrow then god help him because he already poor long run pace in practice on a dry setup. I hope it's dry in that case because it gives Mercedes (Mainly Lewis) a better chance of scoring a podium. I still Ferrari will win though even in tricky conditions.
Suspect it will be one of those crazy mixed conditions race tomorrow, should be fun but at the same time i cant wait for a full dry weekend so we can finally see the pecking order. If its a dry start Id say most teams will start on fresh hards because of the unpredictable weather and deg.
Tobias Grüner F1 @tgruener #F1 Mercedes & Red Bull want Pirelli to switch back to 2012 tyres. Lotus expects more discussions. Boullier. "We're ready to fight back". I do think Lotus are gaining an advantage from Pirelli using an R30, but surely they can't switch back to 2012 tyres just because Red Fools and Lauda are moaning about it?
Nah, Pirelli have stood strong before against protests of teams. No way would they change it. I'm wondering if the Red Bull has too much downforce perhaps? Would explain why it's naturally fast in the wet, and hard on its tires in the dry.
Raikkonen gets a three place penalty for blocking Rosberg, He's down to 10th, Button, Sutil and Perez move up a place each.
Tobias Grüner F1 ‏@tgruener #F1 Mercedes believes, Pirelli will change tyre compounds. Should be less sensitive to cold temperatures. Probably for China.
I think the fact that they are hard on the tyres helps them get the tyres up to temperature quicker than others in the wet.
