    I don't care.

If it was a Newcastle fan playing for San Lorenzo who was cheering Newcastle we'd all be showing respect.

We cannot hate Colo because he just wants to go back to his boyhood club. It's not as if he's leaving us for a pay rise.

    I still respect Colo 100%.

I don't think the term "he broke is back" as very accurate. They said he broken two bones in his back, it's not as if his entire back was broken and he was paralyzed.

My point being, I 100% love Colo.... but...... if his back (or part of his back) were broken or even sprained maybe he shouldn't be bouncing on the terraces.
Unless of course the 'back story' is bullshit put out by the club to allow him to spend a bit of extended time at home....
When he does go I'll always remember him very fondly indeed.

If this cheers him up a bit and does something for a busted family life, thankfully due to the fact we've got cover, it won't do anyone much harm.

Hope to see him charged up playing for us again soon.

I'm just interested to see that a footballer actually enjoys going to a match - - somehow I always get the impression that footballers don't actually like the game all that much.

As for the brokeback conspiracy thoeries: we're hoping he'll be on the pitch in about 8 weeks, which means bakc in full training in 6. I'd be worried if he couldn't manage a little bit of movement while seated

He's hardly exerting himself that much. There was an article in the Chronicle yesterday with Jonas saying he should be back for the Benfica game. I'd love him to be back for the derby. I'm adamant he'll be back before the end of the season. Think he's too much of a professional to just **** off without saying goodbye, knowing how loved he is at the club.

This, and BRS's comment about him being too much of a professional.

I understand he has reached a point where it is time for him to move on (I really don't see him here next season) and if the papers are to be believed, he has had a rough time of it of late. I completely understand why he would want to go now and why he wants to go home.

I will be sad to see him leave. But he has been a great captain and influence on our Club. He has given more to Newcastle United than many other players (*cough* Owen *cough*) and when he leaves, he will leave with my best wishes.

It wasn't a big deal to me. He's just gone to watch some football at his favourite club.

If any of us were in the same position, playing at some German club or some overseas club, and you went back to your beloved home in Newcastle, and went to watch your beloved Newcastle United in a game, should anyone blame you for that?

First Love of a club, and the club that pays you... In a dream scenario they'd be the same, but that is not always the case.

Exactly. At least he's enjoying himself. We'll just have to hope that a bit of time over there now is enough to help him resolve any personal issues and then come back to compete with Saylor & Mbiwa for a place next season.
