West ham to pay 2m a year rent

Apparently west ham will be paying 2 million a year rent on their world class 60k seater stadium while we pay the same for poor old Elland road. Doesn't look like we're getting great value for our 2 million a year. Strange scum weren't in for the Olympic stadium though. Would have saved their supporters a fortune in travelling

 

Lets hope they get relegated and go bankrupt

It's not actually 'poor old Elland Road' though is it, that's the problem - great stadium, **** team

 

You can hardly call it great can you? Atmospheric, certainly, but it's very dated in places. All the refurbishments to it have happened in a piecemeal fashion. The South stand alone dates back to 1974.

 

Going to have absolutely no atmosphere at all in the Olympic stadium. When are west ham ever going to sell 60,000 seats??

Would have laughed if Leyton Orient had been allowed to ground share. 5000 fans would have made a right racket there!!!

 

Will West Ham be able to fill the stadium. I don't see them filing the current one with half the capacity.
