The point is they stopped a game being played, that game could have been anywhere up and down the country so a lot of people can relate to what has happened.

It's the first time I've heard of such an incident (Newcastle fans spoiling amateur games). At the risk of repeating myself, football pitches/facilities ****ed about with= everyday occurrence unfortunately.
Yes I agree that happens but not on this scale. To even think this is on a par with 1 snapped goalpost on a Sunday League pitch or a few drunk lads abusing an opposition player or ref is a bit mental.
