This would be a very odd thing to put on if the point of it all was to smear NUFC's reputation

 

I'm shocked, because usually it's just a few ****ers. To see 250 fans doing this is a disgrace and they should be banned from any future Newcastle games.

Surprised so many were cynical about this but I forget not everyone uses twitter - there was mass discontent amongst Toon fans on the weekend after this - Tom (ISitNextToABadger) being really vocal in condemning the lads who ran on the pitch. Definitely happened and definitely easy to track the ones who did it...think I've an article brewing in response to it all as well...

 

Then we can safely condemn the idiots who did it. Sad to hear that this was done by people that will be associated with the club. I hope that as many as possible are identified and banned from attending games.

 

Looks like the club are good to pay the Wigan cosmos for there replacement gear. Fair play to them.

- well it looks like it really did happen, though such an odd way for it to surface, odd how the big press guys seem so keen to print it but knew nothing for five days. How utterly bot must they be at researching stuff not to found this out for five days lol,

- also, had the folk who took the pics sold them to the highest press bidder they would have got a lot more than £200

The video clearly shows numerous "Toon Fans " invading the pitch, jumping on crossbars etc. Even those with coats on are easily identified as their tops are hanging below the coats.
From what I gather the pitches were close to where the coaches dropped off our " Fans " and occured prior to the Wigan match Kick Off.
Good to hear the club will be paying for replacements for the teams but hope they take action against the morons.

A few questions, if I may.

If this lasted for so long then why didn't the police arrive to break it up?
If this went on for at least more than five minutes then why aren't we seeing YouTube links to recordings made?

I would like to think that this never happened but it's possible that a few idiots did cause problems but two hundred and fifty? That's a full scale riot and I can't see plod turning up in full gear itching to have a go at the micreants.

Clearly something happened but does anyone know what?

 

It was all over twitter at the time, and there were loads of YouTube vids, may have been removed to cover people's arses though cz they were all recorded by Toon fans

Well, I hope that whomever were responsible are made to do community service, and lots of it, at Wigan and surrounding areas and are made to make their own travel arrangements at their own cost.
