Brighton have given him permission, I can't see it will be easy for him to return now.

    Bit surprised to be honest.

Probably sees Reading as a bigger club than Brighton - and thinks they will have a better chance of promotion next season. (Assuming Reading go down and Brighton don't go up that is!!)

I really rate Poyet as a manager. I also rate his Transfer acumen.

I just don't like his childish and 'spoilt sport' or 'sore loser' attitude in the Media.

He's made some good recruitments in the window for Brighton, a lot of good Spanish players and that Ulloa geezer. Might accept relegation with him and hope he takes them up. I can see him doing well at Reading and Brighton slumping next Season.

It was also reported that Adkins is in talks with Reading.

Brighton are a bigger club than Reading. Very surprised that Poyet is even thinking of leaving Brighton at the moment. Surely the summer is the time to move IF Brighton dont go up.

Then again Reading must have offered much wonga.

He can do better, it's no over-reaction to say he'd make a short list for Chelsea. They need to build bridges with fans and Gus would build more than most.

He should ride this season out and maybe scrape play-offs rather than take Reading down.

Not sure I rate Poyet at all.

What is on his CV as far as a Manager role is concerned?

In my eyes he has taken a club with a nice new shiny ground to the top half of the Championship by out spending many others to do this.

read in one of the papers he has declined the offer. Be interesting to see how the fans have taken it.

Why does everybody **** over Poyet and Brighton? He's an average manager at an average club.

I've noticed on many other sides' forums that we're regularly referred to as 'tinpot' and 'small'. Brighton, however, rarely suffer this treatment. Why? We've spent the majority of our history in the second tier. They've spent the majority of theirs in the third. They've never won anything, and before the 2011/2012 season hadn't had an average attendance of over 10,000*. Three years ago, when they were playing in front of 5,000 people at the Withdean and mid-table in League One, nobody would have given them a second thought.

*I know they may have reached 5-figures if they'd had a bigger ground in the early-2000s when they had a year or two at this level

    This <ok>

It's down to Poyet I think, a 'media darling' who was once a great footballer, new into management and everyones billing him to be the next Mourinho. It's the same with Zola at Watford. Ok I think Zola probably will go on to make a great manager and have a brilliant management career, but everyone ****s over him and Watford like they're the next Guardiola and Barcelona.

It's all down to the media why all football fans seem to have these views, media loves Poyet and gay Brighton. They're never too quick to tag Hull as the biggest dump in the country though and they don't really seem to give a **** about Steve Bruce either (which I actually find a little suprising as he comes across as a thoroughly likeable chap and is very good with media work). These people who post this ****e are just narrow minded idiots and have absolutely no idea of the world outside of their little bubble. Media spoon feed them **** and they guzzle it all up and ask for more.
