Sorry DMD, Fez, Cafe etc.. Not wishing to start all that again!

Anyway I (me me me, the selfish so and so, scab etc etc) have been into the KC today to 1. renew season tickets and 2. Purchase Tickets for Huddersfield. In doing so I was pleasantly surprized to discover that Tiger travel has been reduced to £10/Seat. Which probably makes it cheaper than taking your own transport to Hartshead Service station and paying a couple of quid to get in from there.

So, yes after a couple of hours in the Pub, me and mine are off to support the team without the worry of driving, finding a car park and remaining sober :emoticon-0102-bigsm it's all good.

Hope that others get over themselves, WYP and the fear of fascism taking over the world and get behind the team.

8 Cup finals! Now's the time to stand and be counted... (Ok that wasn't necessary, you can lock it if you want DMD)

hopefully this one can stay as a decent debate.

Johbo, nobody actually called anyone a scab (although I can see why someone would feel they had been called one and I should have picked that up better on the other thread) and most didn't comment on people's personal choice in my view, the discussion is which action supports the club better? Ironically, there's a debate on another board where someone has said there is research that demonstrate support at the game makes no difference to the team. I personally disagree with that.

What I'd say for this game is that supporting the team in a one off game becomes insignificant if the cost is reduced support at future games. If we are seen to take these measures without good justification, we'll get more and more in the future.

You make a good point the subject is what course of action is best?

The club have now made a statement and offer support to a protest march. They have also said that the team would appreciate the support.

I think these two options satisfy all stances/views aired and fearsely debated in 'part 1' of this thread.

Perhaps as someone suggested, a poll to identify whose planning on doing what would be a good idea?

One last thought, I offered a suggestion that we should look to swap scarves with the town fans, to show to the police a common togetherness' Having thought about this I'd be fearful of the police jumping on anyone with an amber and black scarf in the Huddersfield stands or vice versa Blue and white scarves in the away end. That said if there were lots of colour mixing they might not be tempted?

Anyway the thought / visual impact would send a strong message on SKY.

I respect the right of any City supporter to take whatever action he/she wishes. I was originally going to go from Pompey to Huddersfield for this game. Whats happened since changed my mind. Even if the WYP revert back to whats normal I will not attend. I have decided that what they have done is an abuse of my right to freedom of movement and choice. As far as I am concerned the Chief Constable is acting like the Gestapo. People like me have served this country in the Armed Services in order to keep those rights. Even if the courts decided to over turn this mans dictate they can all poke it, its too late, the damage has been done. If he gets away with it, and I sincerely hope he doesn't, then what is next on the agenda.

Good luck to all City fans. You decide in your own mind what protest, if any, is best for you personally. Far be it for me to criticise what you want to do. Whatever you do decide, have a great day. Me, I will watch it on tv

Anyone that could borrow or acquire any other clubs shirt could always wear it for the march. A bit dishonest, but i guess someone could wear it on behalf of a friend that couldn't get there.

40, a bit devils advocate and a bit trying to clear it in my own mind but if you're not going because of the WYP **** up, isn't that still them dictating/restricting your movement?

You're a bad lad with a good sense of humour.:emoticon-0125-mmm:

In anything in life it the wise person that looks for a win-win, it is simply common sense.

Win No.1. We have brought the situation to national focus, industry and politically. We have enlisted total support of our football club management. A peaceful demo may enhance that (I have my doubts about just how significantly), but I would of thought that a sensible show inside the ground, where there are definitely cameras and microphones, would have been equally effective.

Win No.2. We prove we are a responsible club (I know we shouldn't have to, but in effect . . .), we buy up all of the tickets and prove that the demand was greater than the issue given (so WYP are wrong), we support our club, which is what brings us all together and we proceed with the FSF and others in the aftermath.

The Brucie Bonus is Win No. 3. We support our team (of course it makes a difference), we take the points (or not, with no excuses) and we hold our collective heads high, with no real chance of our protest being hijacked.

We have made our point, time to get 3 points elsewhere.

I hope that's clear enough for everyone, as it be a shame to get locked out again because things ain't read right! (Just jossing, honest) <laugh>

Any idea how many fans we will actually take?

Mainly as i think if we do take them all we can have as much of an affect in the ground as outside the ground. Will go get my tickets this weekend.

My sons and I debated - due to one son's being disabled we could go in a car etc with an Hartshead exemption - our decision? Stuff 'em - we'll stay and watch in the Botanic :)

There is only one party at fault and that is WYP. Whatever you or anyone else decides to do is a simple matter of choice, with no requirement for justification. I would have been watching it at home in the NE anyway, so I am sticking with that. Enjoy.

I am prepared to support our fans and club no matter what stance they take. We have made our point and that will do for me.
