Fair point, but it depends on what the training regime consists of, they're unlikely to have the same regime, Gerrard's might just be easier to accommodate. Perhaps Ferdinand's involves pre-planned rest days, which would clash with the match, and playing would put him out of sync for the rest of the season? I'm obviously just speculating though.
That does seem like a bizarre speculation DH. I personally couldn't give a monkeys about the England football (I've never forgiven Hodgson for picking Carroll where he firmly nailed his colours to that long ball mast, just embarrassing to be represented by it), I find it so strange that one the few quality players this country has produced is facing such hostility because he has a medical condition or whatever it is. Yet many now prefer the racist John Terry (all forgotten about). Some people are such hypocrites.
At the risk of going off topic I have to say Des Walker was the best centre half I have seen play for England.
Ferdinand craves the media spotlight his always acting up doing something or trying to have some cutting opinion for everything. His done some things I've respected like working in the community in Peckham and appealing for information on Damilola's Taylor's murder, at the same time a couple of years later in 2006 I remember some dreadful show called Rio's World Cup Gaff's in which he played tricks on fellow England Team mates, during the months leading up to the show there had been a spate of gun and knife crime in the London area to which Rio jumps out shouting at the team mates he'd pranked 'You've been merked' it was absolutely cringeworthy.
The Rio "Choc Ice" (racist) jibe at Ashley Cole...you forgot about that... Some people are such hypocrites...
The term was a derogatory jibe at Cole for siding with his racist teamate. I'd say it was quite an apt description of Cole, and not a racist term at all. Its not a derogatory term for being black is it, its his actions the comment derides, not his skin colour.
It's a derogatory term used in the context that it was, calling Cole black on the outside but white on the inside...You, I, and the rest of the footballing world know exactly what he meant by that... Not that I would judge him in anyway by that comment, almost certainly an off the cuff tweet...
Sorry, John Terry a better defender than Rio Ferdinand? Really??? Seriously???!!!! Agree that Rio is a bit of a twat, but let's not overlook the fact that it was him that was 'left out for footballing reasons' to avoid the confrontation with Cole and Terry, rather than leaving out Terry 'for being a racist scum' reason.
At the risk of being confrontational here, I disagree, I WOULD BE A BETTER CHOICE THAN RIO FERDINAND! FACT!
