The F.A. are a pack of bastards. Just covering up for old golden boy Halsey, who of course is immune to criticism. But if the victim had been Wilshere or Rooney, you bet your arse they would have taken action.

    Sickening.

I just seen this on the bbc web , Callum McManaman faces no further action for Haidara challenge

Wigan forward Callum McManaman will not face any further action from the Football Association over his challenge on Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara.

Haidara was taken off on a stretcher in the Latics' 2-1 win on Sunday after a McManaman tackle that was described as "awful" by Newcastle boss Alan Pardew.

The FA says it cannot take "retrospective action" as one of the officials saw the incident take place.

The governing body added it does not wish to "re-referee" matches. <grr> Come on what do you think about this?

According to the BBC site there was no action because one of the officials saw the incident and therefore that's alright then.

    Farce!!

If most pundits and press appear to be disgusted by the incident, it isn't just us lot being biased is it? Match of the day 2 panel gave their opinion and by the coverage it got on most websites and newspapers i guess most jounalists thought there was going to be action taken.

If the blind bastards didn't see it they should be sacked!

If they did see it and didn't take any action they should be sacked!

Everybody knows it happened so why should they get away with it.

Backhanders all around for the FA - Proof that they are truly out of touch.

As I've said on our board today and several times before it's a ridiculous rule and one they had to circumvent went punishing Thatcher some years ago after he got booked for his assault on Mendes only to later receive a 9(?) game ban. They should have done away with the rule after that, protecting the refs is not more important than punishing a serious breach of the rules, like this tackle.

How can such a flimsy rule be used in such away that it disregards the rest of the rule book? It's utterly ridiculous, even when you consider it was seen by the 4th official he couldn't see the contact and was about 30/40 yards away so clearly didn't have a proper view of the incident.

If they saw it an took no action then sorry we should take legal action. It was a dangerous tackle and we have ample evidence from former professionals to back up a claim. If the FA refuse to take action then we should be pro-active and take a stand as a matter of principle.

A total disgrace newcastle mick, but it's already been covered by previous articles and I think this one will have to be merged.

Best to check that no articles have been done covering what you want to talk about before posting a new one.

Some welcome to the board rep for you anyway when I'm able.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

Go here. I believe it's an independent complaints commission type thing for the FA. I'm writing an email of complaint, I'll post what I send them here once I'm done.

The FA claim that they can't re-referee the game.

We don't want that; we want the game to have been refereed in the first place, even if it's three days later.

I agree with this, furthermore the Club should sue the FA for not having adequate punishment proceedures in place to protect players from injury.

This whole sorry scenario stinks and the blazer wearing, gin swilling f*ckwits at the FA should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

There's no legal case to be made, it's all down to the FA and their utterly farcical application of a stupid law.

It's frightening really, it's giving dirty players a 'get out', absolutely disgusting.
I never had Wigan down as being a particularly nasty team, but after Whelan's ridiculous statement, and now this I hope they get relegated. <grr>

From previous experience it seems they don't ever feel shame, they seem to think that they're above it.
