Boruc - 7 Shaw - 8 Hooiveld - 6 Yoshida - 7 Clyne - 7 Cork - 8 Schneiderlin - 8 Rodriguez - 8 Ramirez - 7 Lallana - 9 Lambert - 7 Fonte - 7 Davis - 7 Guly - Not really on for long enough
Pretty much this but I'd bump Clyne up to an 8 or 9 thought he was superb against some of the trickiest dribblers in the league. I'd also give Boruc an 8 he made some important saves and looked confident. Hard to single anyone out as a top performer as everyone played well.
Boruc - 8 Clyne - 7 Yoshida - 7 Hoovield - 7 Shaw - 7 Schneiderlin - 9 Cork - 8 Rodriguez - 9 Ramirez - 7 Lallana - 8.5 Lambert - 7 Fonte - 7 Davis - 7
Boruc - 9 MOTM Clyne - 9 Fonte - 7 Yoshida - 7 Shaw - 8 Cork - 8 Morgan - 8 Lallana - 8 Gaston - 8 Jay - 8 Lambert - 8
To be frank I didn't think anyone played below an 8 yesterday. My 9's would be spider m.o.m, Lambert, Rodders and boruc ......my 8.5's would be Lallana & cork. Rest as I said 8's.
Boruc-9 Clyne-9 Yoshida-8 Hooiveld-8 Shaw-9 Schneiderlin-9 Cork-9 Ramirez-8 Lallana-9 Lambert-8 Rodriguez-8 Fonte-8 Davis-8 Guly-7 (great tackle haha!)
Don't think he really had much to do did he? Thought he did well, wasn't conned by Suarez's tricks and then booked him at the end for pestering Boruc so I'll give him an 8, only thing he could have improved from our point of view was penalising their defenders more for climbing on Lambert. But since we scored from the only time he did, I'm not going to complain too much!
Compared with the poor refereeing displays into days Sky games, our man yesterday didn't too badly. Only conned by Suarez and his primara friends a few times but made up for it by booking that unpleasant little turd at the end of the game
While watching the highlghts on the Saints player, Dave Merrington accused Guly of being a waste of space. Admittedly, it was purely for one particular moment where Guly was a bit anonymous, but I was quite surprised at Whispering Dave for his forthright opinion.
Boruc - 8 Clyne - 8 Hooiveld - 6 Yoshida - 7 Shaw - 8.5 Lallana - 8.5 Ramirez - 8 Cork - 7.5 Schneiderlin - 8 Rodriguez - 9 Lambert - 7
For the first 35 minutes Clyne was superb 10 out of 10 as he had courtinho in his pocket so much so that he moved more central and that was how Liverpool scored. I think Yosh had a good game defending not so great going forward. Fonte was definitly up for it. Overall I think MoM for me was Morgan. Every one was 9/10 except Hoov & Yosh which was 7, Jay Rod and Gaston 8
Boruc - 8 I thought his positioning was top notch throughout game. He has improved ALOT with game time. Clyne - 8.5 Pretty much had Suarez and Coutinho in his back pocket all game. Jos - 6 (only because he went off injured) Started strong, no nonsense clearing. Looked gutted to be forced off. Yoshida - 7/8 Good solid game. Shaw - 8.5 Worked his arse off all game getting forward. Still kept it up with he looked dead in about the 75/80min. Cork - 8.5 Solid game, link up with Morgan is fantastic. Morgan - 8.5 Again worked hard, played some lovely balls to people. Some nice runs into the box. Ramirez - 8 Caused Liverpool trouble with his trickery. Rodriguez - 9 My MOTM, worked continously all game. Was unlucky to just have the 1 goal to his name. Caused Jones problems all day. Deserved his goal. Lallana - 8.5 One of his better games lately. Nice link up play with Lambo, Shaw and Jay. Still at times want that extra touch to much. Lambert - 8 Typical Lambert. Solid, strong, no fazed by Skrtels clear fouling. Got the better of him as th macth went on. Fonte - 8 Fonte did what Fonte does. No messing, no afraid to throw himself at challenges. Davis - 7 Worked well in putting pressure on Liverpool and then sat back when needed. Guly - N/A
Forget about Baines, Shaw is the man to replace Cole as England's next left back. His consistency is remarkable, plays the game like a seasoned pro. His runs are marauding and relentless. His assist for Puncheon against Chelsea sums him up. Azpilicueta himself has plenty of pace, but still couldn't get anywhere near Shaw even though the left back was running with the ball.. ..£5 million ought to do it?
Rodriguez 8 when everyone else was 9!? In what world...one assist and one goal and a huge threat throughout, many peoples' man of the match!
