Can somebody please confirm that the club agreed with the police about restrictions on the Huddersfield game in a meeting which Nick Thompson did not attend ?

That is my understanding of it but please correct me if I'm wrong

I believe Thompson said something like they had no choice in the matter

Are you asking did the football club sell its own fans down the river?

I believe they said they had done what they could; having done that both clubs are in the constraints of a Sky TV contract. It a bit like having your cake and . . .

Yes the club agreed to the new terms offered by the WYP. Nothing wrong with that. Your point is.

The club certainly haven't agreed with the police and are as pissed off as the rest of us about it but they have to go along with it.

I think the thing about a meeting without NT refers to the Safety Advisory Group which every club has but doesn't involve anyone from the concerned clubs. NT has managed to work his way onto this panel recently and wants to get a supporter onto it too to be able to counter some of the ridiculous views.

The club agreed that the police had tinkered with the original situation but I don't think they agree with the whole proposal full stop.

The club has to make a balanced commercial decision. Do you have any examples of any club refusing to sell tickets because they have not been allocated enough?
No matter what the club did, someone would find fault. They want fans to attend, they need to compromise, they have to act within the structure of the league, they also have to provide tickets to those fans who do not support any protest. Bleat all you want but finger pointing at the club is plain daft.
Did you join in the protest? I did.

I was initially critical of the Club over this, but with the pressure on Huddersfield from Sky thrown in the mix, the Club were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I was surprised to hear that Adam Pearson's claim to have refused the tickets when WYP tried this for the Leeds game seems to have no evidence to support it.

The club wasn't consulted about the original plans, or the so called compromise, they were just presented with a fait accompli.

Did anyone see the damage Burnley caused @ Ewood Park yesterday? There were restricted ticket numbers and they had to travel on club coaches, made no difference, they still trashed the place

A friend of mine is a Burnley supporter and Blackburn are their arch rivals they just hate each other. He said to me once if Burnley lost all their games in a season apart from beating Blackburn twice they would be happy.

Apparently the game was held up after someone threw a chicken onto the pitch.

How the hell do you get a chicken into a football ground?
