Interesting stat, since Benitez arrived at Chelsea, Arsenal and Chelsea's league form has been identical, meanwhile Spurs have picked up 9 more points in that period.
With Spurs dropping points as expected the race for 3rd/4th really hots up if Arsenal and Chelsea win their games in hand. Puts us 1 point above and Arsenal back to 4 points behind. Not over yet by any means.
That loss to Liverpool really makes it interesting. I saw a draw for Spurs, but not a loss. Definitely has thrown us a life line.
I always thought Liverpool would win tbh but I was impressed at how Spurs played, didn't expect them to play so well. At 1-2 it looked as though there would only be one winner. Thank God for Walker, if they had a decent RB they'd be a shoo in for top 3.
Can I join the discussion? From an outside persepctive it is going to be a narrow call from 3rd to 5th. Not sure if Chelsea fans agree with me but perhaps a United win in the replay could free you up to win the Europa (it carries more prestige than the FA Cup) and enable you to get either that 3rd or 4th spot. Hope Spurs get the other CL spot as I believe they have contributed a lot more in footballing terms than an abysmal Arsenal, who I feel won't even finish in a Europa League spot with a Liverpool in form and closing in rapidly on 5th. It might do Arsenal a world of good to miss out altogether and force their board and manager to do some quality time asking the question, "Do teams get silverware by buying second rate players - Arteta, Santos, Giroud, et al?"
Of course mate... I love the FA Cup. Some of my favourite games have been in the cup and would still love to win it. If we beat United it's only 2 more games max in the competition so I don't see why we don't go all out for it tbh. I think Spurs and us will get the top 4. Big weekend coming up. Can see Arsenal dropping points at Swansea and if they do and we beat West Ham and Spurs beat Fulham... Arsenal will be dropping way off the pace
You wish but I really think we will tonk them like at Wembley, They are so far up there own arse with Bales form they will as usual disappoint.
