    You know, if I were Pardew I'd have a right go at the ref on TV after.
    I hope that, as a club we make a full and formal complaint to the FA about the ref and the thug.

    I thought incidents COULD be punished retrospectively if no punishment was given during the match?

    Surely video review has nothing to do with whether the referee sees it or not – plus he'll be alerted to it before his full time report.

    Something has to be done, it's just not good enough that. Second time its happened to NUFC, I suggest the club takes them to court and seeks compensation...

    unbelieavabe , wigan playing no good football but just runaround in circles. We have been hit by two injuries and at the start with Debuchy we looked so strong !! Seriously the ref is aweful

    Well only good news is the refs going to see that again and the next decision will probably go in our favour. We should be looking for pens in the 2nd half.

    Injuries are stacking up again. Thank god we got some back ups in in January, otherwise where we'd be doesn't bear thinking about.

    So, what's been worse so far, the tackle or our inept performance? Close call for me. Tactical ineptitude and some very poor performances out there. We can't create chances playing like that, and unfortunately we're now 2 subs down.

    Anyway I've never understood the punishment "tackles" like that get in the game. If you're out for 5 matches even, what's that compared to the poor cripple out for months and months? Why isn't it possible to say retrospectively, you're out until they make their return to football? Surely that would stop such reckless, horrible, disgusting behaviour like that. Unbelievable.

    Oh well, knew how it would go when Sunderland got all their luck today! North East clubs aren't going to have two favourable games in a row are they?

    Guess Raylor will HAVE to play in the derby <laugh>

    I feel for Haidara, I really do....

    His career is possibly over before it even started.

    The first thought of my mind was which was worse, the Roy Keane on Haaland tackle or this?

    I'm feeling genuinely sad now for Haidara, regardless of the result we'll be losing a very promising player

    Marveaux needs to impose himself on the game. He totally disappeared for a good 20minutes.

    We need him to provide the attackign intent, not give the ball to Tiote and use him as a launch pad
