Well, I guess so far our main threat has been set pieces, so we're not going to miss out so much in that department, although winning as many is going to be difficult. Realistically he was the only real option to take off. I'm not convinced it hits his arm, it looks to me like it bounces up under his arm and hits his chest. Fox commentators think the same.
If the game has been ruined it's not because of the ref, it's because of Bunn leaving his penalty area with his arms up...the ref can't make his decision on whether or not the game "will be ruined" by his decision... You can tell how the ball bounces straight down its hit his arm, wouldn't do that of his chest. The bad thing is he didn't need to raise his arms to stop it. Thats Bunn not Bassong.
If it's handball, it's deliberate, so why wasn't Bassong booked? If it's not deliberate, it's ball to hand, and not a penalty. At the very least the ref should be consistent with his own decisions.
