Shako, even if we had hammered the udders, we aren't good enough to go up anyway. Time to build for next season, starting with giving Warnock the boot now
On a positive note - We are probably one more defeat away from seeing Warnock no longer in charge. We haven't scored a first half goal in the league for 14 matches, you just have to look at his team selection today to see he is a joke of a manager, how the hell he got QPR promoted I have no idea.
Sad as it sounds getting Nigel Adkins in to build for next season is the BEST thing we can hope for but this season. This team that Warnock assembled was never going to win promotion. We could dream but we are so average.
Not the best match to introduce a foreigner to, but we did, so Haribou was average at best, and surprisingly lightweight when on the ball. Don't think he realised he'd be roughed up so much, and the ref didn't help. Clayton demonstrated magnificently why we were lucky to get rid of him, and even luckier to get money for him. A very muted performance, and didn't turn up - just like he used to do for us. I know White scored, but apart from that, it was the same old - lots of headless chicken stuff. Same old Veg Varney too - runs about, gets in the way, and wastes chances like there was no tomorrow. Time for him to go, surely? Hall got a run out, but seemed to be operating in the middle, more than the right. Didn't exactly set the heather alight. I know that Peltier has looked more comfortable as CB than LB, but to be honest, he's not that good as CB. On the plus side, the other 4 in the back 5 look like a sound foundation for next season, and Warnock looks like an excellent signing.
Thought Haribo showed some neat touches, but obviously didn't realise he'd come here to play non-league football. More telling was Warnock Snr taking off the centre forward, putting two wingers on, and then ignoring everything by having Paddy hoof the ball up to diouf, who refused to head the ball all game. Tactically moronic, creatively barren, technically lacking. Byram was average, but made to look good by how talentless the rest were.
