How the f**k has Allen got a start in this game in front of Henderson,bizarre.... no absolutely f**kin mental decision
Actually felt we grew in to the game, our midfield is none existent but when we get beyond their midfield we look very dangerous. First and foremost we need to tighten up, not just at the back but in the middle, perhaps Skrtel and Agger need to hold a higher line. I said earlier this will be a real test of character, we've got ourselves back in the game. Over to you, Brendan.

I knew we should have been set up to play it very tight, they are outnumbering us in midfield in 3's n 4's n breaking on us, I posted last night what I thought we should do, and it's them doing exactly the stuff I mentioned, to us Not that anyone noticed
Wow. That was truly awful ... Allen needs to come off and we need either Lucas or Henderson on. We have been extremely poor however there is a lot of space behind Soton's defence and I'm sure we will take advantage.
BR still needs to change it. We're fortunate to be 2-1 at half time, Saints should be 3-0 really. Allen off, Downing off, Lucas and Hendo on. Back to 4-3-3 and winning the midfield to control the game.
Allen off, Lucas on. We need someone to break up their attack and you can always count on Lucas to do that.
Shocking first half that we are lucky to still be in the game as a result. They could have easily had four and we were lucky to get our goal (although we had two other chances wrongly taken away from us by the linesman). Hopefully Rodgers will mix it up at half time but I suspect he will leave it because we have just scored and change things around the sixty minute mark

Lucas should play no matter who the opposition, he is equally as important to us as Suarez and Gerrard, if not more so!
Thing is, the good Johnson would beat his man...get into the box...and score or pass to someone who can. Positive thing to remember is that we were 2-1 down at a similar time last week. The negative is that we were at home and playing a lot better than this.
