3.40 Ffos Las Gormanstown Cuckoo 11/1 NAP This looks like a right old plot. Has fallen from a mark of 127 back in December to a mark of 119 tomorrow in 4 runs and is now back on the same mark where he absolutely bolted up at Aintree for Colm Murphy back in 2011. The tongue tie he wore to victory that day is reapplied for the first time this season having shaped well but not finding much on his last 3 starts and I think a flood of money is going to come for him.
Taking a chance on Connectivity Bob .......? I'm sure he wouldn't be entered if he wasn't fit but it would be good if lengthy absences were accounted for! Another long time absentee in the following race is Silver By Nature (well until his unimpressive reappearance in a GN trial at Haydock.) No bet for me, but I'd love to see the old boy have a good run Best bet 14-40 Uttoxeter Grouse Lodge no great price though.
EW Lucky 63 for me tomorrow try scrape back some Cheltenham losses: 2:05 Uttoxeter - It's Oscar 11/2 2:20 Lingfield - York Glory 5/1 2:55 Lingfield - Hoarding 9/2 3:15 Uttoxeter - Hold Court 13/2 3:30 Lingfield - Premier Loco 4/1 3:50 Uttoxeter - Major Malarkey 8/1
Just putting my Comp selections up... Nowt spectacular, but it aint Cheltenham is it now...!!! 3.15 Utt - Kaylif Aramis, 2/1 - Ran well lto at Kempton, finishing 3rd, in a better + tougher race than this one. Looks the one to be on for me... 3.25 Kem - Shernando, 11/8 - Looking to follow up his win at Huntindon lto where he won easily by 10l over the same distance here today... 3.50 Utt - One In A Milan, 10/1 - Open to further improvement is what the notes say, and i think so... 4.15 Ffos - Makethe Mostofnow, 9/4 - CD record is 4/5, 2/2 at this distance... Good enough for me... 4.35 Kem - Gods Own, 5/2 - Finished 3rd to MTOY 2 runs ago, sandwiched between 2 wins. His form looks the better of the rest, just... Singles n Doubles... Good Luck to all today...
I like fill the Power in the 3-50 at Uttoxeter all be it the name is riduclous. If he stays on his feet (yes it's a signifcant if) he usually makes the frame.
I reckon the headgear will make all the difference for Poungatch today, and at odds against I thought he was well worth a bet. I also have backed Cai Shen in the Winter Derby and the horse I thought was impressive in defeat last time, Big Occasion in the Midlands National.
I backed Fill the Power this morning Dan each way. Almost betted out after Cheltenham but couldnt resist this one . Are you confident he will stay? Thats a bit of a question mark for me although he shapes like he will ... so taking that a bit on trust ..
Hard to know captain but he's a pretty gutsy, hardy type - but as you say you have to take it on turust. Hopefully we're on here later slapping backs
First one in, good old Poungatch wins at a longer price than I was expecting. He is a Midlands National horse of the future!
Bob: Good run from Connectivity - did you see the interview with the good Doctor> He wasn't going to be 100% today, they've left something to work on and looking to put him into one of the Aintree handicaps
